I actually really really love that Disney halloween movie "Hocus Pocus". Cracks me up everything. I need to find it on dvd somewhere...

These are both fun to watch as well.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Silence of the Lamb.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (again, the original)

I first saw the original Texas Chainsaw Massacare a few months ago when I bought it instead of the new version (I pay so much attention to the things I grab when I'm in stores). I watched it in the middle of the day with my blinds open and light on, my door shut, and my step dad kind of burst in and scared the shit out of me, I gasped a little

When I still lived in Alton Il, there was a halloween parade every year, and the only time I can remember going to it, my brother and I wanted to get candy, so we kind of pushed our way to the front of the line (I was 8 or 9) and right when we broke through to the front, a Freddy Kruger jumped out, I think that's why those movies get to me.

I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but when the Blair Witch Project came out, I was still like 13 or 14, and that movie REALLY scared me! I tried to be a "man" and watch it home alone in the living room, I couldn't do it. I got to the part where the kids start hitting on the tent, omg, it scared me so bad. So anyway, I didn't finish the movie. For a few MONTHS (literally, months) after that, I would sleep with my face to the wall because I was scared of her. Also I would JUMP out of my bed instead of putting my feet on the ground next to my bed, because I thought she was under there, waiting to catch me one day... That movie still bothers me a little.​

it's by far my favorite Halloween movie of all time. It's got Bette Midler, Sara Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy what a great cast of witches. GOD it's so funny and was actually pretty scary when to me when it first came out, considering i was 6 at the time that's not saying much, but it really is a fantastic film.

"Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas" is a very close second, it's so great and was so unique at the time. I love it so much. Disney kinda owns my life, clearly.

HAHAHA!! that was great. Ringu is a great film.

My fav. Halloween flick would have to be the classic John Carpenter film "Halloween." I just have so many memories of this flick around past Halloweens. My brothers and I always watched it together. frrrreaky

I've only seen the Blair Witch Project once, but I found it pretty scary at parts.
I think the whole thing was really well done and there was something so real about it.
Yeah, most of it was painfully boring heh, but I think it has some really effective scary scenes.

The ending freaked me out.

I wanted to enjoy that movie but I thought that it was boring and a really poorly written and acted movie. I just have so much trouble enjoying poorly written movies, which is why I see very few of the big blockbuster films. Thankfully, there are so many movies that are always coming out that there are usually good new ones coming out. RottenTomatoes and MetaCritic normally helps me weed them out.

I have just watched a film called "bloody murder 2" and it was great its scary , gory and the killer is part jason part micheal , it stuck to all the conventions of a horror movie but was still great
