Copper Kettle Caramel [2nd Street Creamery, LeMars, Iowa] apparently a very new flavor - or, for all I know, this could be an old manufacturer which recently expanded its market to here

Malt Shop Chocolate [Kemp's] (Reapparance of a lamented lost flavor which had disappeared around 1988 - I have NEVER seen any other ice cream which has malt in its flavor since Miller's in Michigan had such - when I was a kid.)

Gold Medal Ribbon [Baskin & Robbins]

French Vanilla (no brand allegiance, but this flavor also cries for chocolate topping. The two go together incredibly. But do any chocolate toppings exist with the awful HFCS, etc.? America seems incapable of making good ice cream sauce, period.

THE TWO BEST FLAVORS OF ALL TIME NO LONGER EXIST:
Tres Chocolate (Edy's, disappeared about 1987)
Belgian Dark Chocolate (Girardhelli, disappeared in the early '00s or thereabouts)

What does that taste like? Some sort of tangy sherbet?

I've had it... it doesn't have a strong taste. It tasted... fake? LOL Kinda Fruit Punch-ish, Kinda Bubble Gum-ish/Cotton Candy-ish ? ... Ok. I have no idea. I just bought it cause it was called "Superman". I'd eat it again though.

So I just tried Winco Foods' brand called Cherry Bordeaux. It is pretty much what Sixhson mentioned, black cherry ice cream with black cherry slices and dark chocolate chips. It is so damn good. I need to watch myself so I don't gain a hundred pounds.

If I had to save one ice cream from destruction it would be a good vanilla, but I really don’t have a favorite. It really depends on my mood. I never chose chocolate though.
