Favorite Moments On TV

Was just enjoying Guy Martin in "Our Man in China" on Tastemade Travel. It would be hard to imagine anyone from NASCAR over here being as skilled a presenter.

He has an everyman appeal here in the U.S., sort of like an Aussie but without so much put-on. We don't see too many Brits on Amercan TV without the toffee bit.

He's a lot of fun on camera. Was surprising to read he has Asberger's. I suspect his reception by Brits is more mixed than it is by Yanks.

For this particular series, it is a pleasure to see China viewed though a lens that is not exclusively political or humanitarian. It is a fascinating country, even if it has many sins politically and civilly.

Edit: This is rich. I just noticed I posted in this thread instead of At the Moment thread, which I thought I clicked on.

Didn't make it back in time with a link. Sorry.

from 14 years ago. . .L. J. Gibbs takes out the terrorist and saves Ziva, Tony and McGee :=D:

At approximately 9:40 PM on April 19 1990, the second episode of Twin Peaks wrapped up with the first Red Room sequence. Featuring a vibrating little person who dispenses cryptic clues in code before dancing under a strobe light and shown completely in reverse, it was the kind of abstruse surreal, material you'd expect to find on some obscure cable access channel at three in the morning, but there it was on a major network, in prime time, no less.

My best ever moment on TV was the moment when they announced the death of Margaret Thatcher.

Rejoice, rejoice, we certainly did. What a happy day that was.
