I'm talking about something that you snack on either in front of the tube or out in public.

Being from Texas it's usually been anything from Frito Lay.

But I've found Cape Cod Jalapeno and Aged Chedder "kettle chips."

They've got crunch, flavor, and not "greasy feel" while eating them.

And they're just all round awesome! :gogirl:

What's yours? :D

Potato chips, hands down. I like Krunchers or Cape Cod. Does anyone remember New Era?

Pretzels. Preferably the 'soft pretzel' kind that you put in the microwave and sprinkle with coarse salt, but crunchy pretzels in a bag work as well.

My favorite is the old standby:

Lays's Classic Potato Chips

Second favorite is probably popcorn popped on the stove,
and I always use Orville Redenbacher's popcorn.
I sprinkle it with a mixture of popcorn salt and butter salt.
It's nice to watch a movie on the DVD player with a big bowl of popcorn.

I like the new sea salt and cracked pepper potato chips many companies are coming out with now - some brands are better than others, though. :D

Mixed nuts, especially cashews and almonds. Pringles chips are probably second.

Roasted, lightly salted pumpkin seeds.

My most guilty pleasure is Kettle Crisps, the Salt and Vinegar variety. It's like my catnip!

Probably because they are so regional...

I don't know what "nuget" is, but sign me up!

Roasted, lightly salted pumpkin seeds.

Can you buy those in a convenience store in some kind of bag?

Cuz they sound pretty "gourmet" to me. :)

Mixed nuts, especially cashews and almonds. Pringles chips are probably second.

I like the fact that they're "stack-able" and crunchy, and that 6 of them represent 1/3rd of the fat content out of the entire container, and that they're cheap.

I've found that the healthiest salty snack is not only the oldest, but isn't a potato at all:

7g of Protein / 5g of Fat / 470mg Sodium.

Compared to the Cape Cod Jalapeno Chips posted earlier in this thread:

2g of Protein / 8g of fat / 260mg Sodium.

:D

Bag of peanuts from the airplane, pringles, cucumbers with lime and salt :D

Potato chips (especially the kind that are somewhat more browned), and Frito's Corn Chips.

Actually for a while I could find some unsalted potato chips under the TERRA brand name, and those were probably my all-time favorite potato chips, but I can't find them anymore?

From the frozen state, 30 seconds in the microwave.

With cream cheese.

Going to have one now after posting.

Then to bed.

I love those chips! I buy the same flavor too. ..|

Tonight, I'm munching on these:

I like the regular ones; not the 'lightly salted' or the unsalted ones.

I have to say, my all time favorite is this:

At $3.99 a box, I have to limit myself, though.
