Favorite Television Episode Of All Time

Mine's the final episode of "St. Elsewhere" -- where it's reveailed the entire show -- every season and episode before it -- has been imagined by a young, mentally retarded (or was it autistic?) teen (played by Chad Allen).

I have to agree "Chuckles the Clown" on the MTM show. The other one was All In The Family with Sammy Davis Jr......loved that...

The Masturbation episode on Seinfeld. where everyone bets to see who can last longest at not getting off. George got caught jacking off by his mom. I still laugh through the whole episode.

Most everything from the West Wing. I'd be here for hours posing my favourites.

Here's a couple I found on youtube, though.

President yells at the Secretary General (Parking tickets)

You have no idea how much I wished Bartlett was our real president.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned M*A*S*H! the last episode of MASH! The most watched episode in TV's history!!

MASH is probably one of the best shows ever made... and I had my first kiss while watching it.

That song by Sia is so amazing. I've been listening to it so much the past few days. I love that episode too.

I agree - the song by Sia at the end is fucking unbelievable. The perfect song to the perfect ending of Six Feet Under (I miss it!)

One of my favorite Friends episodes is the one right after Monica and Chandler get engaged - when Rachel and Ross kiss in the hallway ("where nobody ever goes") and Monica accuses Rachel of stealing her thunder.

Also, one of my favorite Simpsons episodes, since I am completely obsessed with that show, is called "Trilogy of Error", a parody of Run Lola Run. Excellent writing and freaking hilarious!!

And, lastly, don't hate me, but I hate MASH....ugh, makes me sick to my stomach! :D

Maybe the "Dreams For Sale" episode that ran on THE TWILIGHT ZONE in the mid-eighties when it was resurrected the first time. A very interesting premise on the world of Virtual Reality...

And the short tale on one of the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes when Homer kept going back and forth in time and the world kept changing when he'd come back...

Mostly episodes from M*A*S*H.

Goodbye, Farewell and Amen
Abyssinia, Henry

I would love a President with his morals and convictions and integrity. Sadly I doubt we'll see one.

What is your favorite television episode of all time?

Mine is the last episode of Six Feet under:

Thank you, thank you.

Six Feet Under was the series I enjoyed most (by far), and I loved seeing the final minutes again.

I felt the same way, and cried once again.

Beautiful images.

Oh, this is HARD HARD HARD. I'm going to do a list of favorites first, and then vote on the all-time favorite:

1. WILL & GRACE: Grace invites Leo's ex-girlfriend over for dinner, and it turns out she's the only woman Will has ever slept with. Hilarity ensues.

2. CHINA BEACH: The two-part Tet offensive episode. I cried buckets when Cherry died. The aftermath episode was stunning.

3. STAR TREK: TGN: The first of their two-part Borg episodes, when Picard is captured and becomes Locutus. Every line of dialogue, every single shot - perfect.

4. STAR TREK: TGN: Yesterday's Enterprise. Again, every moment used brilliantly. I was freaked out the first time it came on, and there stood Tasha Yar at her post.

5. STAR TREK: TGN: Data's Day. Not as heralded as some of the other episodes, I thought it completely encapsulated the Star Trek themes of curiosity, learning and personal growth.

6. SEINFELD: When the four principals make a bet about who can be *master of their own domain* the longest. Hilarity ensues.

7. ALL IN THE FAMILY: Archie's gotten hooked up with the wrong crowd of racists, and to untangle himself, he tells them he has black blood. Hilarity ensues.

8. KNOTS LANDING: Paige and Greg play strip croquet.

9. CHINA BEACH: McMurphy comes home for a shore leave, and has conflicts with her family. Her mother throws her smelly clothes in the garbage, and Colleen retrieves them: "They smell like me, mother."

There is this episode of Rurouni Kenshin, where it is going through the childhood of an opponet Kenshin is about to fight. His life was so tramatic and the episode was so beautifully done it made me cry. It showed why the dude never showed emotion in his face. I forgot his name sadly.
