A mere 50 hours ago, I was still visiting a longtime friend in Las Vegas who was so much a part of the early Bowie phenomenon, that for a while he had orange hair, the lightning bolt, etc. just like Ziggy Stardust.

My ex-husband slept with a musician who slept with the impresario who rogered young Davey Bowie née Jones.
HOWEVER i've spoken to many from the Stonewall generation who believed that Bowie was their spokesman (just like Gaga claims to be) and later felt betrayed when he disowned them.

Yes if I recall correctly (and I was just an adolescent when Bowie was at his peak of fame) he was the first big pop star to announce he was bisexual, but then later he recanted that and said that was just a phase he went through or something. So it's still not clear exactly what his sexual orientation is. But in every interview I've ever seen, he sets off my gaydar like a 5-alarm fire bell.
