I agree about the hot part. Even if 2 people are compatible sexuality wise, they can get as close as they want and still have it be platonic if they aren't phsically attracted to each other. Sure, there might be sexual tension once in a while; but so long as you both treasure the friendship above all else, you won't cave and the slight attraction can actually be quite a sweet thing.

That's a very nice way to stereotype. So, without directly stating it, you are saying that straight men are attracted to all women, straight women are attracted to all men, and gay men are attracted to all straight men. Therefore, friendships between them cannot exist. Correct?

I'll try to be as clear as possible. Straight men can't be just friends with women they find attractive, they will still have sexual fantasies about them. Does that mean straight men find ALL women attractive? No. Same goes for gay men and those who are their type, be it other gay men or straight men. As I said, I have no attractive straight guy friends. That is foremost my choice because it's better for me, but secondarily, I'm sparing them from being friends with me who would be jacking off over them.
