Not at all! I know a few extremely butch men who have never and will never top - they're exclusive bottoms. Likewise there are nelly twinks who wouldn't want anything near their arse. :)

I'm neither fem nor masculine/butch and I'm a bottom.

There.

Nope. And I'm always surprised. What you see ain't neccessarily what you get . . .

Recent studies show there is a 70/30 split for “feminine”/ “masculine” gay/bi men. If that holds true then at least 20% of “feminine” men are dominate or versatile.

I have known too many men that crossed those lines in too many directions to equate fem/bottom or butch/top...and not all of them sexually. Hopefully those days are over, why can't you just enjoy sex and leave it at that.

Appearances do deceive in my experience.

Let me make sure I am interpreting the numbers correctly, does this 70/30 split meaning that 70% of gay/bi men are feminine and 30% are masculine?

Of over all men who have sexual relations with other men on a regular basis. To put it another way it is looking at Beta versus Alpha personalities in gay men not feminine and masculine, but yes, that is what it is saying.

I use the stats because I agree and see the same end results as the people that ran that study; but I should have said I have a very large problem with how they got their numbers. The head researcher does not believe in bisexuals at all. He believes that there are only “gay and straight” people in the world. Because of that I think their numbers are a little off, but reading everything else having to do with the study I agree with the 70/30 split.

Keep in mind the numbers only correlate to “gay” sexual relationships and does not reflex bisexuals “straight” relationships.

No, but it's much easier just to stereotype. Otherwise, you're forced to get to know people, and who the hell wants to do that?
