So I'm on ************ (Gay lounge) and some other website

i've started this thread 1nce on each site

some other website i didn't get too much of a response

surprisingly on gay lounge i gotta not so welcoming response

it wasn't a flaming (no pun) experience but they were asking me like

"if you're not ready to come out then why do you want a femboy............and

why don't you just date a masculine man..........."

but i let them know that's what i like and that's what im looking for

they were mistaken that i didn't KNOW what a femboy looked like or how to identify one..............

If you can't find a "femboy", you ain't lookin'. And you might find a better term for them, too - I can't imagine effeminate guys responding in droves to "where my femboys at?"

There are a lot of gay men that are defensive and really rude about their effeminate mannerisms...so you gotta be careful with that. They are painfully self-conscious about themselves for the effeminate traits they do have. If they are in a typical 'gay' place this self-hatred is even more inflicted.

You might be better off trying to search for an effeminate male that has integrated himself more in society better, than in a gay dating type place.

I too can fall madly in love with boys and men that are considered effeminate, although I like a genuine softness.

But sometimes in order to appear stronger, cause they don't like this quality in themselves they'll act bitchy/rude to people instead of caring and sweet. It's just a turn off or some media cliche that is pretty annoying to live with.

Wow, at first I thought it read what sports do they hang out at and was going to answer tennis and maybe soccer, they I realized the OP said what spots... some suggestions so far are good ones ie...bookstores like borders, b&n and what not. Coffee shops seem notoriously good places... I think sometimes even just watching some guys grocery shopping you can tell some are fem-ish. I do think, though, in general its hard to peg where one group of a certain people hang out anymore as the world is now much more intertwined than it was 10-15 years ago when I was actively dating. I always found myself acting a little to girlish and manned up quite a bit to the point where no one knew I was gay if I didnt tell them. I personally like manly, manly men ripped guys that play sports are a plus like swimmers, wrestlers, baseball players, tight ends from football teams are usually hot too. As others know I wrestled and played baseball in high school... and gay men love athletes so maybe you'll find what you are looking for at some sports venues but I'd be carefull if you are easy to "figure out" cuz some of those dudes would probably beat the shit outta you if they thought they were sitting next to a pansie, fairy, mary etc...

Gay clubs and typical gay places are filled with effeminate gay males, really literred with them.

Go to the nearest gay meeting event in your area and you will find them. (there's always a few masculine acting gay men at these places too but they're mostly usually have effeminate males.)

Also a 'femboy' is really kinda general. How sissy do you want your sissy to be? Some sissies like to be on top, other sissies are much less dominant.

A good rule of thumb as well is to not call us femboys or sissies. We are humans not sex toys or pets. Just go where ever you think you can find gay guys. And the effeminate guys will stick out ( We are sorta good at that) Talk to us, spark up an interesting conversation and weed through the rif raf. You might like effeminate guys but take into account they we are not all the same. Each of us are different and unique with many interest and talents. And not all of us are bottoms and not all us do girly things. Our mannerisms aren't even girly. Have you ever seen a girl act like as exaggerated and campy as a feminine guy? But enough with my rant. It's great that their are guys out there who can be open about his attraction to effeminate guys rather than admonish and de sexualize us and if sexualize us at all oversex us to the point of destroying our humanity......wait didn't I say I was done with my rant. sorry
