Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

Stop hating and accept the fact that GLAMOROUS is the number 1 in america right now and that Fergie does a better Gwen than Gwen, which is why she is running back to No Doubt lol.

When i first heard it i thought it was catchy but i i didnt think people wanted to hear about how good a celerity has it but i was wrong because it was the biggest sales gainer, jumping from 8 to number 1.

PS: I'm not trying to blast Fergie b/c I like her and the song. Using the music is cool (I don't blame them for using it becuase it's a good beat), but they could've at LEAST changed the subject matter of the song, or the rap or something else. It's not like Gwen's remix didn't surface at all. My friend had it on his computer for over a year!! And the original version of "Luxurious" was a hit single!!

I like Fergie, but come on... This is pathetic. It's nice that it's #1, but if it wasn't for them doing the Gwen remix, "Glamorous" may not have even existed.

Fergie 's a Gwen clone, and yes, she's very good at it...

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

Wait if it was a reject how can it still be a rip off?

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

ah ok.
Well i havent heard either yet so i'll see what ur talkin about.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

pfft...gwen dont need to be number one...she's married to gavin rossdale *swoons*

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

I don't see any article on Gwen suing. So, this is a no-issue.

At the meantime, G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S is my phone ringtone now. : )

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

So Gwen didnt want it and Fergie did, who cares. Its just like Christina Milian not wanting S.O.S and Unfaithful because she "thought" they would not be hits and Rihanna jumped on top of them. And look Christina was dropped from her label supposedly and Rihanna was kept.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

Gwen > Fergie.

Fergie's alright, but I've like Gwen a lot more for a much longer time.

Rihanna is making lots of money for def jam. Watch out for the new album this year.

Truth is even if Christina recorded S.O.S, it would not have been as huge.

And its not that Christina didn't think that they would be hits, its that she felt S.O.S was too pop and thats not her style.

Dip It Low was her biggest hit.

Britney was offered Irreplaceable first, but then she got pregnant with jayden so her album got pushed back and Beyonce bought the song fromm Ne-yo.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

But this happens all over the music industry. For example "S.O.S (Rescue Me )" By Rihanna , was first offered to Christina Milan who turned it down . I dont think Fergie is a gwen copycat at all , one listen to her album will tell you that , i like both artists but at the same time artists are going to copy the trends that sell.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

look she may be doing what gwen does now, but gwen probebly wont care, she is a punk rocker at heart. i wanna see fergy rip these songs off her.

personally i think gwen was better in no doubt then she will ever be solo. she was origonal and had a flair that you dont usually see these days. but o well to each his own i guess.

(ps these are sublime songs they covered on the RIP BRADLEY tour. the songs are total hate and pawn shop if you wanna lookup the studio version gwen sounds ALOT better in the studio version of total hate.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

Yeah, I knwo this happens in the industry all the time. IT's just funn how she's accused of copying Gwen all the time, and one of her songs ends up being a Gwen left-over.

But whatever. Like I said, like Fergie and "Glamorous", so congrats to her on her success.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

They didn't copy. The beat of "Glamorous" and the verse by Ludacris was a production of Polow Da Don. Polow offered this version to Gwen Stefani for her single "Luxurious" but Interscope declined saying that it wouldn't be as good of a single as the remix with Slim Thug. Ludacris released a mixtape early 2005 with the "Luxurious Remix" on it. Polow then offered the beat and verse to Fergie, who accepted the song

which is why she is running back to No Doubt lol.

This is the only light at the end of this tunnel. Fergie's better with Black Eyed Peas (i.e. isn't in it as much) and Gwen is better with No Doubt (i.e. she's with people with musicality).

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

I think Gwen could take Fergie in a fight. Gwwn's got history of rocking it hardcore.

Fergie can't even sing her own song at concerts without peeing herself. I like her, but seriously.

I doubt it's a rip, because Gewn didn't want it. Avril wrote Breakaway and nixed it and gave it to Kelly, so it's not a rip necessarily.

I'm not going to attack this, but neither of them are doing anything original in my opinion, and neither is most of pop.

Things are rarely new now, just 'reinterpretations' of previous styles.

For instance, a new song 'luv Ya' by british act 'UnkleJam' is comepltely different to most commercial material at the moment, and sounds really fresh. But it's basicaly just somone else doing 'Prince and the Revolution'.

Marilyn Manson isn't new, Kiss were around before him, and Alice Cooper. Britney is the new millenium's Karen Carpenter, and that's just the way the music industry works.
