Is there a decade, century, era, age of the past that you find particularly intriguing, interesting, attractive or that makes you feel nostalgic?

A wise man said that the present is comfortable, when we choose to make it so.

The past is gone, so it should not worry us.

The future has yet, to appear, so why worry.

The present should absorb our interest, so that what ever the present offers us, absorbs our interest, and our appropriate response.

Never let the past dictate to our present life.

Never let our future worry us into making imprudent decisions.

Live for today, and let, tomorrow take care of itself.

When tomorrow arrives, we will do what is necessary, to take care of its challenges.

Don't worry, for our life, rewards us with its joys, when we make the effort to be joyous.

^ why would you always post something that is not related to the thread

I could have never been myself anytime in the past... heck, I'm not even myself in these times, but I suspect I sohlud have waited centuries to be in an era in which I could be myself...

As Little Orphan Annie would sing:

"Tomorrow, Tomorrow... is only three days away!"

There are things I miss from all decades in which I've lived, but none enough that I want to go back for more than a quick visit. I'd be interesting to live in, say, medieval Europe for a day, or the mid-1800s, but only for curiosity sake.

To do that, you only need to visit some Asian or African countries countries.

I'd like to visit this Era too.

Medieval ages. I would like to go past, to year 1000 and have a sight, or Constantinopla in1452, to Groenlandia when it was the Green Island...

Another wise man told of an ant and a grasshopper. The grasshopper was fucked when tomorrow came and he hadn't prepared for it.

I saw a cartoon with Lulu who was told the same story. In the end her dad caugt her spending all her pocketmoney on candy. He asked her if she hadn't learnt anything from the story and Lulu replied "I'm saving it for the winter.".

Except that the ant was taxed half his savings to take care of the grasshopper in his old age.

AND the ant had to stay a virgin all her life. Btw this idea of mjisrepresented morality is also a theme of the film Los lunes al sol:

~ "What motherfucker that ant!"

because...

(It's just before one of three dates that are chosen to represent the end of the Middle Ages...as well you know)
The middle ages didn't actually end until the XVIth century: in 1202 Cosntantinople had not yet been fallen the victim of its own political instability and the meddling of foreign Chritstian: the libraries were still in a fair condition, and the touristic spots and reliques were still in place
