Honestly, I prefer the classic FF graphics to the remakes, mostly because they're just that, the classic. Loved FF2/4, and I hope that the game is just as good as the original(s)

Hopefully, Square Enix won't let us down with this one. Their latest Final Fantasy was "meh"

I would have prefered them to do this on the PSP. Just look at those kiddy character models, leaves little to the imagination. Plus, graphics for Crisis Core is awesome!

Yah Im gettin all the FFs on the DS and seriously Im lookin forward to FFCC on the Wii... when is that coming out?

Ugh. I dont see a point in them remaking this. They just remade the game for the GBA what, 3 years ago?

It's not an exact remake

on the original game they couldn't fit the whole story in, this game will have the full extended story.

If I remember correctly the snes FFIV was either 35% or 70% of the story.

There's a big diference between what the GBA and the DS can do. They are using 3d graphics this time, and they are adding other stuff to the game as well.

Though I do agree that Square has been milking the FF franchise a lot lately. But whatevs as long as the games are good its fine. Im not a big FF fan myself but I do like a good RPG every now and then and Square certainly knows how to do them.

Well I liked the FF3 Remake from what I saw but I'm still really worried agbout the proposed FF7 remake. Just no.

Yeah the whole 'kiddy' and 'gimmicky' thing is just nonsense. Besides, that didn't stop the DS and the Wii from dominating the market. But thats a whole diferent topic. :D

Anyway back to FF, I want to see more on that FF game for the Wii. But Im not talking about the Wiiware title game... I want to know about The Crystal Bearers. Here's the first trailer known for that game. Looks really awesome.

Well actually the whole point of the Crystal Chronicles series is that they are more action oriented rather than being traditional rpgs, though this time around Crystal Bearers is supposed to improve the gameplay much more than the Cube version. In fact this one is suposed to focuse a lot more on being a better single player experience than the Cube one. If I was to judge on that early trailer then Id seem that they are on the right track.

Looks hot I cant wait for this. Better yet though Dragon Quest 4 just came out in japan and folks have found rough draft of an english translation inside the game. Wahoo, looks like we are getting Dragon Quest 4, 5, and 6 hopefully for DS next year!

I remember the first FF for the NES. It sold so well though, that a viable francise was birthed.

Next up was FF IV (II in NA) released for the SNES. I rented it first and I recall I was initally blown away by the music. Especially the opening arpeggio, and when FF VI (III in NA I think) came out, I quickly snapped it up.

Really enjoyed FF II though, and bought it after the rental and was hooked on FF thereafter...until that fateful day when Square-Enix jumped ship for the Playstation.

I bought a PS1 just to play FF VII and throughout my ownership of the console, bought a total of four games...three of those being FF VII, VIII, and IX.

I bought a PS2 this year to play FF XII which I'd heard good things about. I've yet to really get started with the game.

Lately, the days of intense and prolonged game immersion are few and far between.

However, I may pick this up later as I certainly enjoyed it.

As too FF:CB, I hope that's going to be more of a full blown "traditional" RPG than what was churned out for the Cube.

I never knew you were into Final Fantasy.

Somehow that just boosted your cool-o-meter up about 20 points above the max, with me.:D
