• You need to think about what you want to do to protect yourself and your partners from HIV. Either you need to use condoms or you need to get on PrEP.
• You also need to start getting tested for STDs on a regular basis. If you're in school, your university health center can help with this. Otherwise, make an appointment with your primary care provider or the NHS GUM clinic.
• The clinic should also make sure you have the appropriate immunizations for men who have sex with men (MSM). This includes vaccination for HPV, hepatitis, meningitis and monkeypox. Since you are 19, you probably got many of these shots as a child but it is a good time to make sure you're up-to-date.

Thank you for the advice. I definitely want to start on PrEP as soon as I can. Im going to book an appointment to get tested too. I never even thought about the immunisations so thanks for bringing that up.

What a great story. I wish I would have had an encounter like you did. I'm not complaining about my first several sexual encounters which were with one FWB and I was in my 40's.
