How do you find places that gay people hang out? i mean i want a real relationship, one that develops on its own instead of hanging out at bars. There seems to not be many placed in this area listed on the internet. I can't find a single thing except bars. What is the best way to go about this? I am not in school, so school resources are out. (im out so that is not a prob.) :help:
 
well....no. I'm asking how to IDENTIFY places that gay people tend to go to or events that they like. or pride events, or clubs, or well.... anything but a bar.... i can do the relationship part on my own... and as always if i get stuck there, JUB seems good for that :D
 
lol sorry...long day. well, if you are ever in VA beach, maybe we can be not good at it together... lol. thanks tho.. maybe i will just change my whole wardrobe to gay shirts from cafepress.com and tight pants and go flirt at the mall..... heh and get killed by the uptights... :rolleyes:

Have you tried your local gay and lesbian center? They always have different discussion groups and well its run by GLBT peepz.
 
Do you have any lgbt resource centers ear where you live? They can usually recommend different restaurants, cafes, bookstores, etc. Does VA have a gay village or gaybourhood of sorts?

Lol, hi Joe, my name is Brandon and no its not a therapy session. They have many interesting groups such as latino groups, youth groups, bi groups etc and you are welcome to attend any group you like. Basically you get together and talk about anything you like, they also organize events such as fundraisers, Pride Festivals, get togethers with other centers in the area. Its a very fun place and you get to meet other great people and on the way you get to help your community. You should go in and visit, check it out. I know you'll like it.

Oh well sorry, if I got confused. But no its not too good to be true, they also have movie nights and after the discussions its usually off to a coffee shop or restaurant with the whole group and you get to interact with them outside. You can also go to clubs afterwards if you feel like it, or how about inviting a group back to your house for a kickback.
 
Lol, why would you get raped in a place full of people, its not a clothes optional Inn in San Diego or Palm Springs. That was cute though, it reminds me of the first time I went to a gay club. Club Oz in Buena Park, CA and I was so scared not knowing what to expect and I thought the same damn thing "Im gonna get raped" but after about 20 of looking around, you couldnt push me off the dance floor the whole night.

How about starting one. Call your closest gay and lesbian center and tell them that you would be very interested in starting a center close to your house. A friend of mine several years back started his own center, by having meetings in his house. A couple years later the center moved into a building and started their first Pride. All this about 5 years ago.

Now that was not intended as a suggestion but as a true story, you may start weekly meetings at Dennys, your local laundromat where ever you think you might be able to enjoy a nice hang out with your peers.

I will actually consider it. Maybe a bulletin at a local bar? meet at a rec center or park... rec center... that gives me an idea. what if the rec center does this now? their website doesn't publish it but i can pay a visit. i love this site o.O
