I just bought myself Firefly: The Complete Series. It will be here next week. With the gift certificate my bosses gave me for Christmas it'll end up costing about the same as renting the whole thing. :D

I've only seen a couple episodes, but I love the series so far. As instructed by my brother, I'm waiting to watch Serenity until after I see the series.

Only caught a few episodes of Firefly before it disappeared. I did see Serenity and loved the film. It's a shame that no one turned out to pay to see the movie, it could have helped resurrect the series. Poor Joss, or really more like, poor us.....

I love Firefly. Haven't (yet) seen Serenity, but I understand it's good too. I also understand that it didn't leave much room for continuing the series, though.

According to the DVD extras, the cast actually hung out on the Serenity (the ship) set during the filming of the series, because it was so much homier than their trailers (or wherever else they might have gone). I have to say, if I had infinite money I would have a house built whose interior was like that set. (Well, I'd have granite counters in the kitchen, but other than that...)

Nope...Serenity was Josh final goodbye to the Firefly series. He tried as best as he could with the 2 hours that he had to close all the unfinished storylines. He did an awesome job!! It was sad to see what happens to certain characters that I loved when I watched firefly on Fox. But I have the DVD series and the movie so I can go back in time and relive all the great moments again!

RIP Firefly

"Burn the land, boil the sea.....You can't take the sky from me!

Actually if it got enough interest (big interest) there were plans to make another 2 movies. However Joss Whedon being the clever man he is knew there was a large chance of this not happening so Serenity finishes alot of the old questions, leaving a ncie ending if needed but can also go on to have sequals.

I read in one interview with Joss that if 2 mroe films weren't to be made he'd let everyone know the answers to the rest of the unanswered questions but seeing there'll be a comic series he'll probably answer them in that.

It is an awsome show though. 14 episodes I've watch helluva lot. God damn you fox! God damn you to hell!

I am very very late to the party but I just finished going through Firefly. Will watch Serenity this weekend.

I knew that they cancelled the series and there were only ever fourteen episodes all up, but I am devastated that I won't ever see anymore of the series!

Sad.

Well, there's always the rest of the Whedonverse and of course the comics.
