I get error messages whenever I try to check my yahoo email account with Firefox. I usually have to send an error report and reopen all my previous firefox browsers.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks in advance.

It just said that there are new newer updates for Firefox.

I guess that's a yes :(

And the forecast weather add-on used to give me problems. I just had to uninstall it.

I'm not sure what's going on with Firefox. Used to be great and trouble-free. Seems that since they've had a recent flurry of updates, problems are surfacing. I've had a few myself and now afraid to accept anymore updates.

Try starting it in safe mode - that stops all the extensions.

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

Oops, forgot to proof read what I wrote. I DO have the latest version.

I will try safe mode.

This sucks because I have been advocating Firefox to friends for about three years now and I might have to get rid of it because it's incompatible with my email account.

I have adblock and video downloader.

Video downloader doesn't work with youtube anymore. Does anyone have a better extension or program?

Firefox has been having a lot of problems, I had problems with it crashing on me when using YouTube.

maybe its a problem somewhere other than FF.? I have yahoo mail and it works fine. video downloader still works for me on youtube too, so does forecastfox.

When I have problems with FF i usually clear out all the cache, passwords, etc.
May or may not help.

Tools->Clear Private Data. Check them all and click ok.

Found it! Apparently other people were having issues with Yahoo Mail!

Yahoo! Application State
If you have installed Yahoo! Messenger on your system, you may experience crashes when using Yahoo! Mail. This is caused by the Yahoo! Application State plugin (bug 322363, bug 326344). To see if this is the cause of your problems:

Type about: plugins in the Location Bar and press Enter. If you find "Yahoo! Application State" ("npYState.dll") in the installed plugins list, exit Firefox, open the C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\shared folder and rename the file "npYState.dll" to "XnpYState.dll" to disable the plugin. Open Firefox and test Yahoo! Mail.

Now I don't have to get rid of Fire Fox... :D
