I use Firefox to read JUB. I enlarge the screen with the 'ctrl =' keystroke to make it easier to read. In several minutes, the screen size shrinks and the back arrow no longer works. This is frustrating to say the least. I don't have the problem with any other web page. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for the link Noelie. The zoom buttons seem to do the same thing that the 'ctrl -', ctrl 0', and ctrl =' keystrokes do.

in Fire fox i just press down the CTRL key and use the scroll on the mouse. looks like that might be the same thing you are talking about, if so then i've never had a problem with it. you could try upgrading to the latest version of firefox to see if that helps. i am on version 3.0.3.

Well, I'll be buggered ... I never knew you could do that with Firefox. You learn something every day. Ta muchly. Not that I need to use it that often.

Report it as a bug to Mozilla.

Hmm I suspect that an ad or so refreshes and for some reason FF resets the zoom level.

you should install this extension:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592

it allows you to set a default zoom level on a per-site basis. so you don't need to adjust it everytime by using any kind of zoom control, it will always be the set zoom level for the site. i hope that also fixed the problem with the reverting back to no zoom.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Corny, you are right that the screen seems to refresh. It just did it before this reply. I had just logged on and it hasn't done it all day on any other site, including the Washington Post which refreshes often. I will install the extension that you suggested. I hope that also solves the back arrow problem. Mike, I like the ctrl-mouse wheel thing. I think the extension that Noelie suggested might be the easiest way to zoom.

Thank you noelie. You have solved my problem. The check button is located in Tools/Options/Advanced. Now when JUB tries to reload the page (which is frequent), the message "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." appears in a narrow bar at the top of the page. There is an "Allow" button to overide the block. I don't understand why I seem to be the only person with this problem. I have not had it with any web page other than JUB.
