Hi everyone hope you all had a nice christmas. Each time I open firefox to load the server it says server not found. I have gone into connections and everything else I could think of but can't find the problem. At the moment I am using internet explorer7 and that seems to work fine but it sucks. I uninstalled firefox then reinstalled:mad: and the same thing occurs, any ideas of what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I think I'm having a similar problem with foxfire...

I at first had issues with IE, causing me to switch to Foxfire. I was fine for a long time, then one day I couldn't find the server either. I was able to type where I wanted to go into the address bar, and mozilla Foxfire would take me to the address--no problem. I could not open up to my foxfire start page; so, I changed my start page to yahoo.com, and everything seems to work ok, but still have yet to get a good explanation of what happened to my original foxfire start page. I posted a blog/comment on the mozilla community blog, but the few explanations didn't seem to match my problem.

Good luck...

Can you not find any website, or is it only justusboys.com that you can't reach?

Hi lefty8 and Seth thanks for answering. Firefox is not loading any site at all and when I use IE it is not bringing up the correct homepage. I use earthlink and it shows an error saying earth.net so I am forced to type in the homepage I want each time. I have checked my internet properties settings and the correct homepage is entered but it is not going to that. I use adaware, spybot and trend micro pro and none of them are finding anything as far as a virus etc. is concerned. I'd really like to smash, grind, chop and pulverize this piece of crap and throw it out the window as it has a tendency to drive ME NUTS. To everyone out there don't buy a compaq it is a piece of S_ _T

Do you have any Firewall activated that blocks Firefox?

Hi lefty8 and Seth thanks for answering. Firefox is not loading any site at all and when I use IE it is not bringing up the correct homepage

i think it is more probably that he has gotten himself some spy/ad/malware ...

Also check you dns server is set to automatic. I had a similar problem and it was the dns server my computer was set to use had been hijacked so that it was translating popular addresses incorrecly and sending them to an ad site. This of course affected both IE & Firefox. Changing it to automatic fixed it. network connections / properties / advanced / tcpip / properties check dns server automatic.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Could not find my yahoo or msn home pages, along with a couple of other sites I visit. JUB came in as it usually does, Kept me from thinking I was crazy. Had turn the computer off to fix the problem. After a restart everything was back to normal.....

Hope everyone had a Great Christmas and an even better New Year!

Hi guys thanks for all the replies. My computer was down so couldn't reply earlier than this. So a big thanks to all. I tried many of the programs and none of them helped so I reformatted.
