ok, I've thought of myself as bi for a while now cus I like gay porn but I've never found another guy attractive untill today cus in class the professor (it's an english class so it's a small class) asked us to raise our hand if we happened to be gay cus we're reading the book "Two or Three Things I Know For Sure" by Dorothy Allison and she's a lesbian and I think he was talking about how people say they can't realte to it since she's gay and that's why he asked.

ANYWHO, a guy in the class raised his hand and now I suddenly find him attractive. I also just happened to have learned that a girl I have a huge crush on is in love with her ex and only dumped him cus he did drugs. Do you think that the reason I suddenly find this guy attractive is cus of how I was hurt and such cus now I'm not really sad anymore and wanna be with guys now for some reason (and I still like girls so I don't think it's me becoming gay).

Chances are good because once you saw him raise his hand, you looked at him in the right context. Unless you're at a gay get-together, or some other place where there's a high percentage of gays, you know subliminally that most guys there are straight, and thus you wouldn't stand a chance with any of them. But now that this guy has declared his homosexuality, you can look at him as a gay guy, and think, "I've got a shot."

A teacher asked the class to raise their hands if they are gay? Um no, I don't think so, that would never happen....

well he did....he's a professor they can do that sort of thing I guess. Plus he talks alot about everyone being more open and such cus it helps your writing I guess.

I find that odd as well.

Are you sure that is exactly how it happened?

and I'm pretty sure he asked everyone to raise their hand if they're gay. The context of the question was right. It wasn't just out of the blue.

I'm glad he did though cus it helped me out and I didn't even have to raise my hand since I'm bi :D (right...)

I had it happen in one of my classes in college. We were a little liberal arts college back in the early 90s - no one thought it was any big deal.

Profesors walk into rooms and tell their students that they have no chance at succeding in their career, and you think it's stange that they ask if you're gay?? If you're not out, or you don't want someone to know, then you don't raise your hand, simple as that. It's not like he's going to track you down and find out that you "lied" about your sexuality because you're not out.

Actually they can't. I'm pretty sure you could get sued for doing something like this in a classroom... This story sounds faker than Pamela Anderson's breasts.

I'm not really saying you are, but what that professor did was WRONG. They should have said something like "This book is very relatable to homosexuals" or something. What would be the use of finding out who was gay anyways? Very fishy...

It was pretty much just a side note, nothing bad happened.

I don't think many of you have been in a college lit class recently, but it honestly depends on the subject material. Hell, even at my college the offer a lit class on transgender studies. Reckon what the prof did was a bit out of line, I would say it could be justified.

I just graduated from college a year ago and I have never heard of anything like this happening in a classroom. Although I did have a psych professor admit in front of the class that she believed being gay was a choice.

...dose anyone have anything to say about me finding a guy in real life attractive for the first time?

I guess I'll start talkin to him and see where things go from there :D
