This is great news.

It makes me very, very happy to know that people who were in the same position I was in just a few months ago will never have to been in that position anymore.

Were you hoping to stay in America for the foreseeable future, or just for extended periods before heading back to Australia eventually? :)

I was lucky enough to win a green card through the diversity visa lottery in April, so I'm headed to the States next Wednesday. I'm planning to stay in the States for good once I get there.

The past 5 years I've done the long distance, flying back and forth between two countries thing, it'll be nice to finally settle down in one place for a change.
