First GAY KISS on Daytime TV on ATWT

SPOILERS!!!!!

DO NOT LOOK IF YOU DON'T CARE TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS...

[EDIT by SBF: Highlight the area below to see spoilers.]

ATWT's Noah finally came out to his homophobic father, Winston, last week, with surprising results. "Winston had a much more positive reaction than Noah was expecting," says Jake Silbermann (Noah), whose character is delighted when the colonel accepts Holden's invitation to have dinner with the Snyders. At the farm, Lily and Holden welcome their son's new boyfriend and his father, but Winston (who murdered Cheri and shot Dusty to keep the secret) spends the evening secretly seething with hatred for Luke. When he invites Luke on an impromptu weekend getaway, the boys are thrilled. Unfortunately, "The whole fishing trip is part of the colonel's plan to take Luke out and shoot him -- totally unbeknownst to Noah, who's so excited and touched," explains Silbermann.

"It's the fishing trip of doom!" jokes Van Hansis (Luke). "Luke has always been one of the most gullible people in Oakdale, so it's not out of his character to take it at face value that Colonel Mayer has done this incredible turnaround. He has a little bit of reservation, but I think he's so excited that he kind of lets his happiness blind any sense of doubt. He's wanted a boyfriend for a long time and he thinks, at least, that he's getting what he wants."

Meanwhile, Lily has already gotten a bad vibe from Winston when Dusty -- who was left for dead in a junkyard --- stumbles in and collapses at her feet. Before passing out, he manages to implicate the colonel, but a panicked Lily realizes that her son has already left with the murderer.

Indeed, the group arrives at a remote cabin in the woods, which was taped at the same Staten Island location as last summer's Raven Lake "slasher" camp storyline ("Luke should never go back there -- only bad things happen!" laughs Hansis), though the scenes are set elsewhere. When Noah heads back to the car for a minute, Winston makes his move: He takes aim at Luke with his rifle. "Luke is gathering firewood," says Hansis. "All I know is I did a lot of takes with a gun pointed at me. Let me tell you, it is not fun!"

Linxus, I hope you don't mind I modified your post above. I can never resist something I can see. :)

I'm getting into this story more and more. I like the affectionate looks the guys are giving each other.

No problem. I would have done it myself, but I don't know how !oops!

I'm loving the rest of the storylines, but not so much the Nuke storyline. I know they chose to speed up the relationship, but it was only like a day ago (in Oakdale time) that Noah came to terms with his sexuality and came out to his dad. Now Luke and Noah are all over each other, wanting to have time alone together at night? It's great they are together, but they went from friends to boyfriends literally overnight. The pacing just isn't fitting.

And what the hell was Van wearing today O_O? A fitted cap worn backwards? His shirts, I can live with, but the hat was just....ugh. With his hair, he shouldn't wear caps, or at least not the way he was. Damn ATWT fashion team...

A son comes out to his homophobic dad who hates his boyfriend. The dad suddenly accepts it and befriends the boyfriend. Dad takes the two gay boys on a fishing trip. Yeah, sure, I can see that happening in real life (not). And we're supposed to believe that Luke and Noah are that stupid (well at least Luke is still suspicious).

Noah: "I can't wait to spend more time alone with you." (begins to embrace Luke)
Luke: "W'oh, we have all the time in the world. . ."
Luke: ". . besides, we've already reached CBS's quota of only one gay kiss per month."

Y'ah like how many times today alone did Paul and Meg kiss. We want more. I know not going to happen.

The only soap I watch is Days of our lives and I wish they would do a gay storyline on there I have been watching that show for over 10 years maybe one day never no

Maybe it's not all bad news...

Maybe the first bullet shot that cap off his head....

That cap has to go. Also the fishing is that across from the shopping area. I think this soap reall goes fast.

Yeah, I wasn't used to the rate of speed this soap does. It's like we see a character clueless one second, cut to a break, and come back and the character had been completely filled in. Or in Friday's case, where the hell did Paul come from? There were so many sudden flashes in that episode.

Okay, they totally fucked that up, but whatever. Poor Noah--with no one to comfort him. C'mere, big guy. ;)

Anyone else feel awkward when Nuke are together? I think it's because the two are too sugary sweet. I often get that way when a couple is too sweet. It almost seems fake, and the fact that the two are already practically ready to hop in the bed together, after only being a couple for a few days, it makes it worse. The writers were doing a good job at first, but now they are pushing it so fast, as I've said before. On another side though, it was sweet to see Noah almost break down and cry talking to Lily about how he's sorry. I thought Holden was gonna beat the crap outta him at first, since it looked like he was also blaming Noah. Luckily, Holden only blames Lily (even though I wish he didn't).
