I usually get a new one bout 1 a yr....depends on how much abuse u give it....if ur wearing it like everyday, ur gonna need to retire it....What size r u buying now? The actual cup isn't stained, the pouch is stained. I bought a Bike Performance Elite Combo jock with cup. The waist is fine, its just the pouch is narrow and not very deep. When I wear it with the cup is sort of rests on top of my package. I also bought the the Bike perfromance cotton jockstrap with out a cup and its fine, huge pouch.

Got my first one,a Bike, in 7th grade. Back then (in the 60's), everyone wore one under their swim trunks. There were special swim jocks with a narrow waist band, so you could wear them under an unlined speedo. Back then a speedo at the beach was no big deal.
In high school a jockstrap was mandatory for PE, although back then they really didn't need that rule...no guy would consider exercising without one.
I stll wear a jockstrap daily for exercise, and have a half dozen different ones. I'm wearing a Champion brand right now. Every now and then I wear one under jeans, too.
You can still buy them at any sporting goods store, and Marshall's often has fashion jocks at great prices.
 
The first jock I wore was a Johnson & Johnson "Swimmer" when i was in ninth grade, then we got wide-bands for high school(I never remembered the brand). I wore my wide-band until it got stolen with my gym socks and gym T-shirt out of my locker in college one Friday after my gym class(We had to take our gear home on Fridays to wash them to be clean on Mondays both in high school and college).

I have a few jocks of my own. When I go to the gym though, I wear under armour or some other kind of compression shorts. What, your opinions, is the benefit of a jock over something like compression shorts? I've gotten plenty of boners in both jocks and shorts and have found the shorts are better at holding it. :)
 
Starting in seventh grade I must have had my first jock strap, but to be honest, I have no special memories of it. It always struck me as skimpy underwear to wear in gym class, and it never seemed very comfortable to me. Certainly, I had no sexual ideas about it in those days.
