First Time Going All The Way

Actually that all sounds pretty good for your first time. Personally I think the "wait for true love" for the first time is a bit immature and it's good that you got beyond it, but it's also good that it was with someone you like as opposed to just a random pick-up.

I think soap is not going to make a condom disintegrate like oil based lube will...but im not sure. also i think it takes pretty rough sex for a decent duration to degrade a condome with oil based lube but im not sure about that either. best to use water based lube. and trim his fingernails. its a nice notion to wait for love, but i dont think its any big deal really. If i love a guy im just happy he is having sex with me right then to be honest. and there are ways of having sex with someone special that make it more so, like using lube and trimming your fingernails...

How is that immature?

I don't think it's meant to be offensive, only that it's a very idealistic perspective o sex and sexual activity. Why is the first time so important? Does that mean that afterward, every other sexual experience that's done out of love is not as significant?

In my opinion, no. It doesn't matter when you have your first time or with who (so long as it's consensual) and sex will only mean something when you put emotional weight on it, not by where it falls on your number of experiences.

I would agree that the perspective of "wait until love" is a bit idealistic and naive, but not so much in a bad way. Just an immature way. Subtle, I know.

I agree. And one thing is to make love and another different thing is to have sex. Two sides of the same coin.

Don't use soap as a lubricant. In addition to being very irritating to the bowel (some laxatives actually today a mild soap), many soaps contain oil-based fragrances that are probably not good for condoms.

Less learned- time for a trip to the Village for some lube.

Congrats on your first time and for having condoms on hand.
