So I am going to Vegas next week for my first time. I am a Vegas virgin! Any place my partner and I should make sure to go? Any great clubs?

Thanks!

If you're talking "gay clubs", Vegas is surprisingly dead when it comes to a gay scene. There are plenty of good clubs, but they're just not gay clubs. :)

I only have one suggestion - if there's a long wait to get into a club, don't. You're in Vegas. Don't spend your time there standing in line. Go DO something. :)

I can give you all kinds of ideas if you tell us what you are into.

I actually just got back from Vegas a few hours ago.....it was my first time there too...........LOTS of eye candy!!!

Thanks for the info, we are looking for any fun place, but gay clubs and the gay scene would be even better.

Well, to give you some idea how hopping the gay scene was, we asked the concierge desk at our hotel for some good gay spots in Vegas...and the two of them couldn't come up with anything. They looked online, and found this club somewhere in the warehouse district or something. We ended up getting in a cab and asking the cabbie if he knew of anything. He didn't, but made a phone call to somebody...who suggested this club somewhere in the warehouse district or something. We finally said "Screw it - let's go there" so the cab driver took us there.

It had shut down six months previous.

That isn't to say Vegas was homophobic - far from it. My partner and I were always treated extremely well, and we had lots of fun. We did take our female friend to Thunder Down Under, where we were two of the only three males in the entire audience. When the host asked the crowd "Anybody here have a steady boyfriend?", I waited until most of the women stopped cheering to chime in with a hearty, deep-voiced "YEAH!" Everybody cracked up, and the host, slightly stunned, smiled and said "You come by it honestly, sir, and I admire that." :)

Weird. The last two times I was in Vegas, I stayed at...the Wynn...and MGM Towers. :)

You can always go to The Fruit Loop. It's a bunch of gay bars/clubs. If you like beer The Free Zone use to have bottomless beer nights for very little.

I recommend seeing The Blue Man Group to everyone. It’s a great show.

Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity was good. If you go though get the first row up in the balcony. Down on the floor makes you too close.

If you like comedy I can’t recommend seeing Vinnie Favorito enough. Just keep in mind he is an improv insult comic. He will say or do anything.

Depending on what you’re into 953 E. Sahara is a strip mall that houses two bathhouses, a gay male porn shop, and a GLBT bar (could be more now).

Just walking The Strip.

If you want to get more specific of what you might like I could tell you more ideas. My idea of funny is probably much different from yours.

The gay club scene has gotten much better! The fruit loop sucks all around..on

Friday-Krave is really nice..the music and the whole set up is great.

Saturday you should hit up "Bare" in the Mirage. Its is usually a straight club but on Saturday's it's a Gay club and the pool is turned into the dance floor..Usually great performances too.

Sunday- The Beatles Revolution lounge has "Closet Sunday's" which is incredible.

My last trip to Vegas was with my sister and her boyfriend. We stayed at ARIA. It was decent, we really enjoyed staying there.

As for the gay scenes I don't know much. But I like the night lives there. :)

Have fun!

MGM is crap - construction flaws, shaky finances, and the outrageous monthly association/management fees, a 500 square foot box unit going for 300K when it should be 100K. Their portfolio sucks!!!!!!!
$350,000 for 520 sq ft. and 520,000 for one bedroom 800 sq ft at Veer towers. ROFL

No wonder they can't fill it up....1 every week at best at that rate in 2050 they will be sold out...

Plus:

Murren supports Harry Reid! Aging properties andForced sale of Borgata

Plus now sewer smell///

What a POS.
Omg and there are hundreds more things to say....

What does most of that have to do with going on vacation? He's not investing.

I hear Krave is really expensive and that the bartenders just make up prices as they go. Also the place can be really dead a lot of the time. I have also heard a few times that they have a thing for not letting people in that they think are unpretty, but because the place can be jumping one minute and dead the next that they just try to keep them waiting all night.

Really? I never had a problem..then again I do know the promoter..and I get the 5 dollars or open bar wrist band....its better when compared to the ones in the fruit loop where even locals(still have my Nevada ID):grrr: have to pay to get in sometimes..Piranha bartenders suck! (15 mins to get a drink) 81/2's music sucks..Freezone is filled to the brim with lesbians...Pitbull lesbians

I was on another forum a few years ago and we were going to do a meet in Vegas. Long story short it fell apart, but before it did we decided not to go to Krave because of all the research we found about the place. Besides the price for drinks we kept finding people over 30 that said they were not allowed in, unless the place was fairly dead. I was the second to youngest at 25 and the oldest were in their 50’s. We didn’t think they would even let us in being the unpretty people.

The biggest issue we found with The Fruit Loop was most reviews we saw said it was usually dead or packed with a subgroup (bears, jocks, etc.). We were a really mixed group so we didn’t think we would fit in.

Ahh OK....

I HIGHLY recommend this as well......I saw it last monday night and it was so much fun! We had front row center seats in the poncho section. I've never had a better time at a show. It's so different but totally worth going to see. I also saw Cirque du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio.......that was amazing as well!

I’ll never forget my experience seeing it.

I even bought the art they made on stage that night for a friend.
