First trailer for Bond 24 - SKYFALL

Been looking forward to today so I could watch the trailer. It looks like the film shows promise. I hope they will move back closer to the classic Bond formula. My favorite films are the Connery and Moore ones. Anyone else a big Bond fan?
 
As soon as they moved from Pierce Brosnan to Daniel Craig, the whole franchise has become less and less 'James Bond-ish' to the point where there's barely anything distinguishable and unique about it now. They've taken away the music, taken away the intro, taken away the 'feel' of the films. You're left with nothing but a standard action movie with a character who just happens to be called James Bond. I'm not anticipating it much. Just more blandness.

I think the films improved when Pierce went. I mean Die Another Day was the worst one. The smarmy oneliners and gadgets went too far. Invisible car anyone? There was little to distinguish between that and Austin Powers. Maybe thats what some people want from James Bond ie Austin Powers light.

With Daniel Craig you have a powerhouse Bond. An actor who took it by the scruff of the neck and made it his own. Thiis is a man who can act. You can do so many stories with him. Not just cliche after cliche like we got with Pierce. Dan Craig is dangerous. And if you didnt think CR was Bondian you must "give me the name of your occulist"
 
I didn't think it was that great a trailer. It was a bit Nolanesque, too much hinting, not enough to get excited about. I still think it will be a great movie though.

Teaser Trailers suck in general.


They are what they are: A "Tease"


The Battleship trailers literally showed you nothing until the second theatrical trailer was released. Same thing with the new Spiderman.

I'm sure you will get what you want in a month or so when they release a more detailed trailer.
 
It had me at the half naked Daniel Craig climbing out of the pool... *sigh*

And I am always happy to see more of M.

Excited but the release date is so far off...
 
That was brilliant! It feels like they're embracing more Bond elements which is great! I seriously can't wait. I wonder if it's too soon to wonder if Mendes will come back and do another one?

I loved Bardem's lines!
