Hey guys, I'm 21 and in about a week or two I'm strongly considering using Grindr to get a blowjob, at the moment I'm a virgin so it would be a total first for me, not just app wise but activity wise too.

I haven't done it yet since I'm a very sentimental person and wanted my first sexual experience to be special, alongside not wanting to make an excuse to my housemates since it'd make me feel really nervous. But at this point i just really wanna try something sexual with another person, and I've always wanted to know what a blowjob feels like.

I was wondering if anyone had any personal experiences to share/advice/tips/etc

Are you out in a place where homosexuality is legal? Are you in school? If so, I would consider finding someone your age to build a connection with and then explore sex together.

Meeting someone on Grindr/other sites is fine, its just very transactional, and you have to be prepared for that.

My first experience was with someone I met off craigslist (didn't know there were phone apps at the time).

Did I cum? Yes
Did I feel a bit gross afterwards? Yes
Was it a risk to my health?
Did I know the person's real name? No
Was I attracted to the guy?. No
Was it memorable? Not really

The takeaway here is that if you really want an experience that's personal, memorable, and less transactional, I would avoid hookup apps at this point. You have the rest of your 20's to hook up on apps. For the first time, I would try to actually meet a guy you like. Explore your social circles and see if there is any potential there first.

What's keeping you from finding someone you care about, especially since you would like it to be special?

Australia so yes, also while it's true I'd prefer to explore with a friend or something, there's certainly no one in my current social circles, and I have no wish to 'come out' either as it would overly complicate some things. At this point I'm just getting impatient as I feel like I'm Missing out on like my 'sexual prime' or whatever, and missing out In general, or even just the period of my life where I can still be 'new' at sexual stuff and have it actually be okay.

I've toyed with this idea before but always stopped myself as I worry I'd regret it due to stuff like sentimentality, but I've also been thinking that there's no way I would consider myself doing the exact same thing at the age of 16 as some defining thing attached to myself, it'd just be something I did when I was 16.

Also I wouldn't really know where to start or where to find other guys, especially since I'm kinda a shy person in general + I wanted to test the waters of my sexuality, so even though I'd prefer to be friends with the person first, the main idea is just to see how I feel about it

I'm sure you won't have any trouble getting takers. Do you plan to reciprocate the blowjob? If not, that might limit the playing field.

I also don't see you having any trouble finding guys to date.

Well people are different. Case in point, I'm certainly no believer in the magical specialness of losing your virginity. That's largely moth eaten propaganda to keep women from having a sex life unless they marry.

Sex is special because of who you're with not how many times you've had it. It will be special with a special guy no matter how many good time Harry's you've enjoyed along the way.

Aside from that, it's a lot of fun, so long as you play safe and don't lie to people, go for it. When you eventually fall in love, that will still be special.

A word of warning, if you aren't out, a whole lot of guys aren't going to want to date you. Hooking up isn't concerned with that, but being unable to be a part of your life is a huge sacrifice you ask of guys who you want to date, one most won't make.

If you want your first experience to be special, don't go for cheap thrills via an app.
Take your time and use a dating site for example.
There's no rush.
Your first experience is unlikely to be great if it's with some random stranger.

My first sexual experience was with my best buddy; we'd known each other for a long time, growing up as next door neighbors. Our first time together was awesome. When I found out I liked girls, too, I took my time; I was in no rush. So my first time with a girls
turned out to be very special, too. I still look back on both experiences with great fondness.
