never just take cod liver oul alone, you need to also add vitamins B, A, and E to your diet, and don't take pure cod liver oil you need to take fish oil suppliments that maximize the health benifits and get a natural brand because synthetics are not benificial to the body

I'm really into Fish Body Oil particularly Deep Sea Salmon in specific. In general, any fish oil that has been molecularly distilled is cool with me.

I saw the post regarding cancer. I've heard of it before and it is due to the nature of the oil. In our daily diet, we do consume some amount of vitamin E. Vitamin E is and antioxidant that is fat soluble. Antioxidant is any type of molecule that contributes to the the neutralizing effect towards free radicals.

However, vitamin E has a unique structure whereby it also needs to be replenished after "working" otherwise, it will be free radical itself. And free radicals are known to cause cancer. This is where Vitamin C plays it role by sacrificing itself to Vitamin E so that it can continue doing its job and not turn to killing other cells in the body. That's why you need more vitamin c than e in your RDA.

Vitamin E soluble in fish oil. And fish oil is an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA). EFA is needed for brain, and cells in the body to function properly. So, if EFA is carrying Vitamin E, you better have enough vitamin C otherwise, all the major organs that uses EFA that naturally attracts vitamin E in them will be rancid (when vitamin e starts to be a free radical and attack oil)and start destroying the cells in the body and may cause cancer.

Bottom line, get ur Vitamin C when you're on Omega 3 supplements folks.

By the way, I take 8 caps of Fish oil on daily basis with my Multivitamin (taken twice a day as directed). So 4 and 4. Just sharing. Not recommending...|
