Fkin' scary videogames

Stalker was kinda boring to me.

But back when I played Aliens vs Predotar (1) I was a fucking nervous wreck. My brother was in Greece, my parents gone for a week, too - and I had a "free crib". Playing this game until very late, it was dark outside, I was too lazy to turn on the lights. And then you are there walking with your fragile, fragile marine in a dark dark hallway with creeking sounds and sparkling electricity right and left. You look on your radar see little moving dots, and try to recognize something in the dim light of your flashlight. The beeping gets louder, your player's heartbeat pulses faster through the subwoofer.
The points on the radar close in on you.
Something is coming from behing.
Nervously you turn around in a rush, aimlessly fire into the dark. A predator jumps over you, you turn around an alien has bursted through the wall on the left and shreds the predotar into pieces.
Now it's right in front of you, and the tense musics has become very loud ...

AvP2 was not bad, but AvP1 was freaking awesome.
It was a bit more fun to play the Alien in AvP2 though, but it was not as good in Multiplayer as AvP1. I loved playing the Alien there .. you were as fragile as glass, but if you owned another Player you OWNED him.
I have seen the most butch friends screaming like girls, jumping up and throwing the mouse away when I served them a sudden death from above the doorframe.
I have sweat blood when I was chased up the wall and across the ceiling with a minigun, finally feeling secure but lost orientation, silently dropping down to the floor. Right in front of a Predator. Alien vision enabled of course. And shoulder gun locked on me :(

playing resident evil when i was 10
me and my friends would scream like bitches when zombies would jump out and eat our faces

When I first played Half-Life, the Ichthyosaur (the giant fish-like creature) scared the hell out of me.

The sound made by the poison headcrabs in HL2 is creepy as fuck.

Hmmm... I need a new computer. I can't play any new games on mine.

The head crabs are the ones that scared the shit out of me. Especially when they came at you in the dark. Oh, and I hated those barnacles.

Eternal Darkness had me quite scared and disturbed throughout several parts of the game. One particular bathroom scene even made me yell and drop my controller.

I was scared shi$less playing Fatal Frame 2 It was about exorcising ghosts and demons with this camera. These ghosts with their heads that were sunken down to their stomach had these scary faces and they would grab you and bite at you. Being a little asian girl with a camera wasnt very tough. They also had these pretty scary demons that come after and scare you. I made the mistake of playing this at night.

I was playing Silent Hill 2 on my roommates playstation... no one was home and I sitting in the dark... Out of nowhere this demon slithers from under a car causing the receiver to start buzzing like crazy... I dropped my controller I was so startled...

Also in Silent Hill 2 ... when you're in the apt complex you turn a corner and in the hallway is triangle head.. only thing between you and it is a metal grate... and you have to get to that side of the grate somehow.... My heart was pounding waiting to be surprised by that thing at any moment.

Friday the 13th for the C64.

I was six years old and watched my friend playing this game. At one moment the image of the head with the machete in it pops up...

^ I agree: we just love extreme emotions. Fear is a good one, just like people loving a ride on a rollercoaster!^

Oh yeah, about the Nemesis, I remember when you arrived in an area, hearing the bastard without seeing yet... you ever wondered if you're gonna pass through him or get knocked! No herbs left... no spray... somebody help me!!!

I use to play AvP all the time when I was younger and my ex would laugh at me because I would be on the floor naked playing and tripping

Deadrising kinda scared me.

It was some of the cut scenes. And in hi-def.

Like when you watch the security camera of the zombies rape, eat, mutilate, and do far things worse than kill the woman in the car.

I was like, "OH HELL NO. HELLZ NAW"

And I was nervous to go on the roof but I loved kicking the zombies in the face with the soccer ball. I WAS LIKE "GO GO SOCCER BALL OF JUSTICE!"

The bucket thing was kinda cool too.

It's some of the bosses that are pretty fucked up too. But I hated it the most when the zombies start raping/eating you. I don't like it when people get up in personal space. Even though it's kinda scary though and it's even scarier if you go into a mall and it's COMPLETELY empty and dead and you think "OH SHIT" it's still lots of fun.

I can't wait til dead rising 2.

I still think some movies are scarier than video games. But with the hi def and amazingly shiny and unrealistic yet realistic graphics the potential is definately scary.

Deadly Creatures looks kinda scary but that's for fear of those kinds of creatures. I hate them damn scorpions and stuff like that.

I swear those are demonic creatures.

Oh my GOD. That game scared the piss out of me so many times. I didn't get much farther than the place where you had to find the two pieces to unlock the two huge gates...

Or maybe I DID get past that. I remember this really complicated part in this Japanese tatami-looking house, or it could have been a temple. Hmmm. LOLQUOTE]

Yes I remember the part because I was stuck there too. There were ghosts of children/demons coming after you. I think they were running around the room. I am stuck at that gate thing too. Oh well...
