I was unable to pick from the flotsum and jetsum offered. I defended many McCain ideas because I still believe them. I voted for Obama in the Tennessee primary. I then was stuck over voting for him or McCain. I knew he wouldn't give anything but lip service to the gay community so that was a non issue. I don't think installing costly social programs while we are extended beyond reason are sane ways to guide our country. I knew he would use this free for all fix it time to do so.

I was finally vindicated by the fact that Memphis district 14 failed to ever acknowledge my voting rights and send me a ballot. So I made no choice this year.

I would have probably voted for McCain the more I knew Obama. Mostly because i believe they would have led us out of this wilderness of an economy more rapidly.

Regardless of what I wanted. We have to deal with what we got.

To answer your question after I yapped for five minutes.....I should have voted for HRC.

and... Do you NOW believe your pick was the best one available?

I voted for Obama. I think he was the best one available. (Kucinich wasn't on the Texas ballot.) I still believe Obama was the best one available.

I voted for Obama in the NY primary and in retrospect that was clearly the right choice.

Obama, of course! I wish he would tell the Republicans to go fuck themselves, and get on with business. Obama keeps trying to get the Repugs vote. They don't give a shit. All they're worried about are the party and the next election.

If McCain had been elected, we would be at war with Iran. Remember, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.

I think, Obama is a pussy, when it comes to the gay agenda.

If someone wanted to form a third party, now would be the time. The Republicans are getting smaller and smaller. The party of hate (R) is on the way out.

I voted for Ron Paul during the Primaries, as I felt like he was my last hope for the Republican Party, as I did not agree with the path of Neoconservatism the Party was heading down. He didn't win, however I felt as though he was the best choice amongst the Republicans ... and he would have unquestionably done a complete 180 with that Party if he was elected.

McCain won, and as stated, we would likely be very close to war with Iran today had he won. He is already criticizing Obama for not being more involved in the Iranian internal dispute over the Election. Obviously, that Party learned absolutely nothing from the Bush years.

I then changed my Registration to Democrat and voted for Obama in the General Election over McCain. Without a doubt in my mind, I know I made the right decision in that regard.

Had Hillary been the nominee for the Democrats, I would have voted for her. If I had to choose between Obama and Hillary in the Primaries, I would have picked Obama, and I would NOT have regretted that choice today.

2008: H.R. Clinton Yes, I believe she was the best available and I'm happy to see her now as Secretary of State. I am thrilled that Obama won and still thrilled with him as president.

2004: Howard Dean. Yes, I voted for Dean and I still think he was screwed by the media and would have been a good president.

2000: John McCain. Really I voted for McCain in the primary in 2000...well only sort of really..I really voted against G.W. Bush...same thing anyway. Voted for Gore in the general.

I voted for Clinton in the February NY State primary, with great hesitation because of her vote for the Iraq War. By April, I was cheering for Obama, as I didn't think HRC could beat McCain, and to a degree I bought into his "change" mantra. Mistake.

Now, I think Obama is a trusy pussy and a closet Republican -- he shows every sign of being a black Jimmy Carter -- or worse, another George HW Bush. WHAT a fucking WIMP!

Change NY State primary with Texas, and I'm right there with ya. ..|

Except I never started cheering for Obama until after it was clear that he was my party's nominee, and even then it was half hearted.

!oops! I voted for John Edwards, that sonuvabitch. He must have known he could never win, so he was just a dog in the manger...

2008 - Dennis Kucinich. Even though he dropped out of the race by the time the primaries were ran in my state, I still did. :P

2004 - wasn't old enough to vote.

Obama. I knew he wasn't the best choice possible. He was just the best choice available. I was pissed at Hillary for some reason or another (I'll remember it someday).

I knew Obama was going to be closer to a Republican than a real liberal. I can't say there was a better choice because there was nobody else who was gonna win. Hillary might have had a good chance if she'd got the nomination but I don't know. I'm not sure she'd have been too different.

She wouldn't have been. No doubt in my mind. If you care about Foreign Policy, she was by far the most Hawkish of all the Democrats.

I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries and Obama in the general.

I continue to believe that he was the best choice available and like others here think had Mrs. Clinton won there would be no discernible difference in policies. (as a matter of fact one difference between them during the campaign was that she favored a healthcare mandate and he did not and now he appears willing to support one something I continue to be against)

With the exception of his changed position on FISA Obama has been pretty much what I thought he would be which is more pragmatic than ideological although I hope that is not the case for healthcare.

Now more than ever I think had McCain won it would have been a disaster.

I really like Cynthia McKinney alot.. she was very extreme liberal and could have done some great things. But I didn't give her my vote because, it would have gone to waste.
