Today another dream was broken, but then I heard Stevie sing again. So beautiful.

I don't think I know anyone who doesn't have a copy of this album:

I LOVE Fleetwood Mac - I've seen them 5 times and the last time they sounded better than ever! According to Stevie, she thinks they may tour next year - hope so !

My parents LOVE Fleetwood Mac! So much so that they named their only daughter, my sister, after Stevie :D They have some pretty awesome songs!

The Mac rocks, always did, always will.

WOW! If you're named after somebody, let it be somebody as amazing as Stevie Nicks.

I'm a fan of Fleetwood Mac, and bought Rumors when it was released.

I've been reading Rolling Stone since I was like 2 years old and Stevie has just always been there -- like morning wood and cold pizza.

Re: Wrongs & Woes

I like the early albums with Peter Green - released between 1967 to
1971. In those days they were one of the leading British Blues Bands.

But, please: don't ask me about all the mainstream rubbish under the
same name in the following years. Their change of style is one of the
greatest tragedies in rock history... .
´
Okay, thanks for that bouying sentiment!;) So you don't think the Stevie years have contributed meaningfully to music - music does after all serve to help us to reach into our lives and offer something up to connect with our world and the others in it. Wouldn't you say Fleetwood Mac does this, even in the more recent years, which have been the last forty years by your count?!

That's right. And for that reason I'm still loving the Blues(rock)...
But this is only my plain opinion. Feel free to think different... . :-({|=
I didn't mean to cause you offence Cliff Bungler, hence the 'wink' I included! I know it's only an opinion, but I'm genuinely interested in what makes people feel disconnected from music that appeals to the majority. Like when people say things like, "They've sold out," as though because a group or organisation makes its way to commercial success, they're somehow no longer compatible with reaching any level of integrity. As though they've betrayed the first people to find their work interesting or familiar. It's not only with recording artists, but with writers and even sports players on occasion.

For me, I would come home from school in year seven and turn on the TV and see Stevie Nicks sing for Fleetwood Mac and they would transport me away from the really cruel world I struggled to survive to a wind-swept sports arena with anthem chilling my skin and the USC marching band filling my head with Roman soldiers!..|

A few years later, I went to punk night clubs and listened to friends talk about bands selling out or how this group or that no longer had any integrity now that so-and-so had moved on, but I always felt like if there's a song that reaches my mind or heart, they've done well by me.

Thank goodness that these groups can record so when they fall out of favour, we can always listen to their earlier stuff. Imagine what it must have been like before the ability to record, when musicians changed style and early supporters could no longer hear what attracted them to the performer in the first place!:(

Again, didn't mean to give you offence.(*8*)

Forget Rumours! The new Stevie Nicks album, In Your Dreams, is so amazing. It's great to hear Stevie singing about more than love and life as a rock star (though I've loved that for the past 30 years!). The new album is beautiful. The writing is so good. I love her songs about New Orleans, visiting wounded soldiers, being on the run with a vampire along with the love songs. "Cheaper Than Free" is such a romantic song, so simple and beautiful. "Italian Summer" is like a four-minute vacation and sex with an uncut Italian man! I love Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. My first concert was the Mirage tour in 1982. But I think the stuff that Stevie is doing now is her best since Bell Donna.
Anyone else like it?

My parents LOVE Fleetwood Mac! So much so that they named their only daughter, my sister, after Stevie :D They have some pretty awesome songs!

I had a friend and I suggested the name Stephanie (after Stevie) for her daughter and then I suggester she name her son Christopher after Stevie's brother and she did. (!):gogirl:

I love Stevie, but I didn't think Christine McVie got enough credit for her singing talents. I enjoy "Over My Head", and "You Make Loving Fun".

This, absolutely adore Christine. YMLF and Everywhere are just lovely.

I know a lot of people ignore the BTM/Time era, but I've always thought this one was awesome:

ummm fleetwood mac is cool.

But this song is more relaxing :D
