Recently I have been toying around with the idea of purchasing a fleshjack for a very good friend of mine who is straight.

I have one myself and I am sure he would enjoy using it.

He is very open minded but I just don't want him to think the wrong thing.

I think the problem is that it is a pretty intimate item to buy for someone else whether he is gay, straight or bi.

If I was given a fleshlight in any context I would think it very odd at least.

We may all know that all guys masturbate but that does not mean social norms allow public discussion or acknowledgement of it. Giving a fleshlight also "says" that the giver believes that the recipient has no chance of getting laid.

I think it would create a very uncomfortable moment... unless everyone involved was very drunk maybe or it was given as a present on a stag night. Then it would have the message "ha ha, you are getting married, so you are going to need this as you won't get sex any more" It's like giving someone an inflatable woman or a blow up sheep which guys do on these events.

If you want to stay friends, don't do it cold.

Maybe, just maybe, you could go to a sex shop together "as a laugh". Then spot one on a shelf and buy it for him... but you may find he's more interested in other items.
