It seems like every pregnant wife that dies is because of the husband. I dont think his explanation for it will hold up.

Husbands as killers always seem to use random crime as the ruse, but detectives already know the chances of that happening are low in the home, and also know the earmarks of psycho killings and burglaries gone wrong. They also know statistically to start closest to the victim and work their way out. Most husbands are too stupid to know that they are making critical mistakes, and think they are smarter than detectives.

The accidental shooting is often the ultimate attempt, trying to weasel by with plausible deniability. If this case actually is an accident, it will most likely be highly evident in the process, including bonafide suicide attempt or a guilty plea for manslaughter. If it's not, probably fight tooth and nail.

As always, it will be interesting to see what her family is perceiving about it.

That's probably for the double homicide charges a robber or other would face for killing a pregnant woman, plus the boys in blue and the DAs make examples of them because it's an emotional hot button for them and society.

He claimed he felt beside him in bed and felt the dog there and thought it was his wife. But I dont think that helps his claim since the dog didn't react to the "burglar" breaking in.
