This is a limited series on Lifetime. I watched the first two parts. there is a total of 4 parts to this series. Is anyone else watching this series? I have read all the books by V.C. Andrews years ago. If you haven't watched it yet, check it out. The first 2 parts were very good. There is also a gay storyline towards the end of part 2.
 
I happened across part 1 last week and am keeping up with it. I read the first two books in the series about 8 years ago, but didn't carry on with the others for some reason. So it's interesting getting Olivia's back story and what led her to become the cruel, evil grandmother we first met in Flowers.

I'm curious, do you prefer the original or remake of Flowers in the Attic?
 
I like both. I had read all the books many years ago and I enjoyed watching the movie versions as well! I watched the 4th and last one of the series today.
 
Cool! I like both as well, but the original a little bit more. Probably because I grew up with it.

So what do you make of The Origin now that's all over? It made me feel more empathy for Olivia. I'm certainly not excusing or defending her future actions against her grandchildren, but the woman started off so well-meaning and got crapped on by her evil bastard of a husband. Doesn't help that her cousin ended up brainwashing and manipulating her in the years before FITA.
