For me--- Cottage cheese

from my honey--> raisins, mushrooms, bell peppers, oysters, beets. He will pick at his food untill he finds the all and puts then on my plate. And then I eat them right away and tease him about it. Oysters don't evern get close to his mouth--he'll puke just looking at them...

There are many, many things I do not like but some of the main things

BACON, nasty nasty nasty. I hate the smell and taste of it. I cant be in a house with someone cooking it. And that leads to pork in general gross.
Fish or anything from the sea
Beef that is not cooked well well done like it died in a forest fire
Mayo, Ranch, or any other creamy condiment/dressing
Corn
Whole milk
butter, its ok to cook with or in things but keep it away from toast or rolls

Oh my... what can you actually eat?

Wine - yuk.
Beer - ick.
Steaks - ugh.
Hamburger - ack.
Bacon - smells good but tastes bad
Coffee - smells good but tastes bad
Cumin (comino) - smells rotten
Nuoc Mam - smells like rancid fish
Double Zout - salty Dutch licorice - awful

Yes, precisely. I only hate the stuff I hate because I'm doing it wrong. I haven't had the right ones, or tried this recipe, or perhaps just haven't opened my mind up to the amazing world of this food.

I've had Brussels Sprouts boiled, fried, sauteed, and baked. The best of the lot was someone who buried them in cheese and bacon. Which was passable, but seemed like a great waste of cheese and bacon. :)

Dude, just chill. Whenever someone tells me that they hate Brussels Sprouts, 9/10 it's because they've only had it boiled within an inch of its life. Once they have it done the way I mentioned, they change their tune. If you still don't like it, that's fine with me.

Black licorice is fucking nasty. Cinnamon is OK in small doses, but if something tastes too heavy of cinnamon, then it just ruins the whole damn thing.

The ropes of black licorice sold in the U.S. are fine, though I don't eat them, they don't bother me. But this Dutch black "Double Zout" is the worst-tasting thing I've ever tried; extremely salty and they smell like tar, yet they consider it a candy. Tastes like what I imagine a tire would taste like.

I tried one of those once :bartshock ... that was at least 20 years ago; I still haven't recovered form the shock yet.

Sushi and most sea foods. Blah!!! And steak too. yuck.

All sea foods-with very few exceptions.

mmmm...brussel sprouts are one of my favs! So many haters. More for me I guess ;)

All that other stuff put on them to cover the taste!? oh hell no!...steam them and add a little butter, kosher salt and fresh ground pepper...all they need. yum.

Since I like most food, I find people (picky eaters) that have long lists of foods they dislike rather annoying to eat with, and especially, cook for.

Mustard
Horseradish
Caviar - Whoever thought of eating that?

I am with you on the caviar...

And I don't like anything that cost more then 10$, except, maybe, some wine!!!!

And I don't like beer

and sushi (raw fish.... eeeeeewhhhhhh)

and overcooked veggies...

Fucking Lima beans.... everything else is okay but fucking lima beans are the nastiest things on planet earth.....

Now I could say Balut but rarely does anyone in America think balut is tasty....it is a rotted almost hatched chicken egg.....puke

White chocolate. What is the point of chocolate which is missing all the things which make it chocolatey?
Asparagus. Reckoned to be a great delicacy, it's actually just a mini brussels sprout on a stick.
Baked beans. When I was little someone told me they were dead baby slugs. I didn't believe it at the time but now I know it's true.

This is always one of my least favorite threads when it shows up. I eat almost everything, and like it.

I enjoy well prepared food best, though.

I think it's more or less factual that if people (without an ulterior agenda) eat something they don't like at least three times, they will learn to like it on the fourth sampling.

Of course, I have a very heartfelt love of food and I want people, generally, to appreciate food broadly and derive as much pleasure from it as they can. It's disappointing to me when people deprive themselves of the varied joys of eating; my bias is toward the polymorphous perverse palate.
