Most important thing: lots of fluids!

Best fluids: electrolyte replacement drinks for food poisoning.

Close: Sports drinks, watered down juice (1 part juice, 4 parts water).

Dont worry about food until your stomach has been settled for 24 hours, just drink plenty.

You need to try and get some food down.

Start with rice or something simple. Also, watermelon tastes the same coming up, so u can eat some without worrying about what it'll taste like if u hurl.

Did you eat anything suspicious yesterday?

Oh I know to well how you feel

Something hit me Wednesday night

I'm just starting to feel better

Dont eat too much solid food. When you do eat, only have bland food like saltine crackers or some white bread/toast. If this persists for more than another day or two, it sounds like a stomach flu. You don't want to irritate your GI tract any more than it already is, so just stick to fluids.

Ahh, poutine, I knew it had to be something. ;)

A couple months ago I had some bad gi probs from bad tomatoes from someone's garden. I highly recommend that you have small amounts of apple sauce and dry white bread toast. I hope you feel better!

its not food poisoning unless its uumm....coming from both ends, and it tends to affect your system very early on (had a bad curry once, within the hour I was suffering)

rice is good as liam suggested, cold dry toast, cold hard boiled eggs are really good for the stomach too.

eat small amounts at small intervals, dont force yourself to eat too much at once.

if it carries on for more than a week then go to your doctor, i dont wanna scare you here but my mum had what she thought was stomach flu last year and she ended up in hospital with ecoli for 3 weeks, better to go and have it be nothing that to assume and be wrong.

oh, sugar free ice pops are good too, or just flavoured ice cubes

yeah, I wasnt gonna go there myself but in cases of illness its sometimes necessary, just not in graphic detail.

yay for food :D sounds like it was a 24 hour bug thingy, but to be sure I would carry on with lots of fluids, avoid heavily processed foods and dairy until you feel 100%

(hehehe oatmeal and ham not a bad combo, protein and carbs, restores the salt levels)

hehehe

by dairy I meant cheese and milk (not the milk in chocolate)

it may have been the cheese from that pizza that affected you (maybe get yourself checked for an intolerance)

and when your ill the acid in your stomach pretty much curdles milk if you drink it.

you feel like chocolate then go right ahead and stuff your face :D hehehe

ouch, mine only lasted about 10 days but i lost like 30 pounds lol

it was about a year before i would dare eat chicken again, and now i dont eat it at all hehehe

i would still get checked for food intolerance, you might not be able to handle lactose, so maybe cut back on the cheese (specially on pizzas hehehe)

hehehehe wow, that much cheese maybe you just overloaded yourself!

(and intolerance isnt something your born with necessarily, it can just develop)

better safe than sick right? hehe

Well, it may be some types of dairy.

I can pack away an whole deep-dish extra cheese pizza with no ill-effects.

However, give me a glass of milk an I'll clear out the united center 4 hours later.

sucks doesnt it?

I am the other way, I used to love dominos pizza. I eat it now and I get landed with stomach cramps and headaches for days :(

Food poisoning symptoms appear 6-9 hours after eating (depending on the food) but rarely any earlier then 6 hours.

Are you sure? I once ate a 3-week old burrito from the back of the fridge when I was in a drunken stupor. Within 30 minutes I was heaving harder than I could ever remember. It definitely wasn't the alcohol cuz I can hold my liquor, although it might have sped up the process.

^^^ similar thing with me, bad curry, cream must have been off, within the hour i was heaving and didnt stop for a good few hours
