Foods you hated as a kid!

Water chestnuts. Like chewing ice cubes.

(Though at a classy wedding reception at the country club, I had some delicious bacon wrapped water chestnut appetizers that were amazing!)

That couldn't have been a borjee weddin could it? ;o)

Things I hated as a kid and still hate today:

Molluscs
Mushrooms
Beetroot
Black pudding
Offal

Things I hated as a kid but enjoy now:

Curry
Onions

That was the word I was looking for, "frattaglie", thanks. I don't mind mushrooms preserved in oil, at least those you can buy they are great in a panino with salame, while those taken from the woods and cooked in th pan give me a viscid" feeling and I despise the smell.

Brussel sprouts and asparagus. I would puke if I had them as a kid, I love both now.

Dear God!

You just gave me a flashback to my mum making me eat those nasty little fuckers every bloody Sunday dinner.
Unlike you, i still hate the nasty little fuckers...........:vomit:

I was never keen on sprouts, but mercifully we only ever seemed to have them at Christmas. These days I part-boil them, cut in half and then stir fry in butter with chestnuts. Much better.

I do the same, with garlic, no chestnuts.

- Liver and onions (yum)
- Raisins baked in cookies, tarts or muffins

As an adult, there is almost nothing that I don't love. Including all the things that all you picky folks still don't like.

Basically the same food I don't like now: cotechino, ovine meat, wild boar, horse meat, rabbit, birds, lungs/liver/brain/heart and disgusting parts like that, blood pudding, tripe, most chinese food I haven't tried which I don't find appetizing, mustard, cabbage, polenta, eel, overdone pasta, caviar, fresh mushrooms, leerdammer...

lots of this makes a lot of sense to me-- except the Chinese food part its a major food in NYC---and I like dijon mustard---

for some reason pumpkin pie turns me off---as a kid and now.

Oh pumpkin I don't like either... and that long light green courgette... and those potatoes with thorns. Tasteless...

I am a picky eater---I'm very careful what I put in my mouth and that includes penis.:)

I still hate mustard with a passion. Yellow mustard taste like bile to me. I judge people on their opinion of mustard.
