There are several days in the course of a year that seem to be designed to make us 'singletons' feel even more single and alone than other times of the year.

Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving (for the Americans), vacations/holidays and Valentine's Day are all ocassions when we want to be able to say 'we' instead of 'I'.

I have got to know so many people here over the last couple of years, and am constantly amazed at the kindness, passion and tenderness shown to other members of JUB. Okay, there are times when people disagree, step out of line, or are just plain obstinate or downright cruel.

Like it or not, we are part of a community here - whether you want to be or not (see recent threads!) - because we all share a common bond... which is our feelings towards other men.

Whether you're single or 'taken' I just want to take the opportunity to say that 'You are Loved', and Thank-you for enhancing my life the way you do!

Aww... That's very sweet QB. (*8*)

But I still hate this stupid holiday. ;)

Very well said. It's something we all need to keep in mind and try to be inclusive, and not just for Hallmark Card occasions.

I'm going to print this and put it next to all the others. No wait . . .

. . . maybe next year ](*,)

Since two days it's "we" for me :) I dunno why, but knowing that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, makes me extra-tingly inside when I think of him. Your thread is nice anyway. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and to those who are still looking for their love - keep it up! Socialising at gay parties is a great way to find new people and maybe it will work for you like it did for me? ;)

Thanks a lot.
I feel odd;
I used to make a big deal of Valentine Day,
always making a point of doing something special with sweetie...
...who was usually scratching his head in wonder.
At some point I finally gave up.
He started calling me and getting me gifts,
and I became the one scratching my head.
Now, this week, I'm
overwrought and sensitive
and I can't help but wonder
if people blame it on
me being single
for Valentine Day.
No, it's cuz they're all acting like
assholes.
I'm single every day of the year.
Valentine Day is no different.
If I need a box of chocolate or flowers
I know the way
to the store.

Then I propose that us "singletons" be each other's Valentine this year!

(*8*) (*8*) (*8*)

That way each of us can say that we're spoken for. :D

I'm single and fuckin' proud.

But I'm sending a whole lotta :luv2: :luv2: :luv2: :luv2: :luv2: and a little :sex: *|* :gogirl: to my fellow single Jubbers :D

XOXO

Ugh! Valentine's Day:grrr: ! Maybe I'm just bitter, but I'm so sick of all the: "I love you:luv:" and "Will you be my Valentine:69: " and that dumb commercial "Every kiss begins with Kay:kiss:" *gag me* :didisay:

btw, I'm single:rolleyes:

Awww, Quasar, that's a beautiful thought.:luv2:

Coming out late, I gave myself 6 months of playing around before I was going to start any kind of serious search for The One True Love.

Well after just a month and a half of :cowboy: :hump: :bj: :sex:  [-X (*k*) :69: :fellate: , I found Mr. Right and we've been dating for 4 months.:thewave:

OMG, I'm 43 and this is my first Valentine's Day with a man. I'm lovin' it. :wow:
