Hello everyone! I'm a horror movie fan myself.
I just want to know from jubbers what's the scariest movie they've ever seen? The scariest movie that would not leave your mind, that would not make you sleep at night because you're scared, that you have to turn on a light while you sleep. Most specially, that scary film that gives you goosebumps and shivers.

Let me know. May it be bloody gore, slashers, ghosts, psychological thrillers, based on real events, book-movie tie-ins, etc........

Reveal your darkest side.............................

The scariest movie I've ever seen that really left a mark on me is:

The Ring (hollywood remake and the first installment)

ALIENS. Those body invasions by monsters. That severed head that sprouted spider legs and ran away. Terrifying.

I really don't get scared at anything and movies almost never give me bad dreams. But if you want a movie that will keep you cringing and grimacing all throughout I would have to suggest Hostel. That movie is fucked up. Oh yeah, and same thing goes for Texas Chainsaw (the remake with R. Lee Ermey in it). That one was fucked up to.

Book: The Shining

Movies:

Alien (1979)
The Ring (U.S.)
Wolf Creek (Australia)

The Exorcist. Without a doubt is the scariest movie I've ever seen. I saw it originally when I was about 13 years old and could not sleep without a light on for weeks afterward...my mom forewarned me, but I had to find out for myself.

the best of the best 1 and 2

Stage Fright, Michel Soavi 1987
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Tobe Hooper 1974

Psycho (Hitchcock classic), The Innocents (with Deborah Kerr) and Les Diaboliques (the original).

Hellraiser saga is worth to be seen
