over here we sometimes say " mongrell bred " or " Bitza " ( bitza this and bitza that ).
My family tree has roots coming from different directions at each fork , makes it very hard to identify a race , how about HUMAN ? go a bit deeper and it seems some of us are half neanderthal and half cromagnon .
 
I'm surprised no Americans have come forth and say, "hey guys I'm 34.9% Swedish, 23.9805% German!" Oh my god! It's so hard being mixed. I have to deal with being white and white at the same time. I don't know what to call myself.

Sooner or later some Yank will be along to claim they are 'Celtic' (this usually only means Irish ... occasionally Scottish ...but no one ever really wants to be Welsh), Norse, German, Italian, and at least 128th 'Native American'

I'm biracial/mixed heritage too, and IMO trying to come up with silly little terms like "Cablinasian" (Tiger Woods) is so damn petty and ridiculous. Sounds like something a kid would say. I'm not going to fragment myself up 10 different ways so that every drop of blood gets referenced, because it's not that serious. I'm black...and not because I'm oppressed by any "one drop" rule either, but because (in addition to knowing that when mixed with something, black tends to be the more predominant gene) I own a mirror and can see what image stares back at me.
 
I don't use any special terms. No need. My name is Sean, I'm mixed with a few races and ethnicities (my dad's from Barbados, my grandma's from France, etc.) and that's about as much energy as I give it.
 
It's one thing to put thought into defining yourself as a person, which is something I think everyone should do. But if other people tell you to define yourself as a certain race or race-combination, I would tell them to f@#k themselves. Fitting ourselves into ill-fitting stereotypes does no good, and it is the basic cause of racism. "I am ______, so anyone who is not also _______is basically different than me and therefore bad."

I'm a mix of Mediterranean, east and west European, plus Pakistani and Filipino. I'm pretty ethnically generic; people have mistaken me for Latino, Asian, middle eastern, etc. In the end it doesn't really matter, and I tell people that... I'm not identifiable as a particular minority, so it's not like I'm going to be discriminated against.

I think Tiger Woods' point was not to run around proudly proclaiming he's Cablinasian, it was to point out how silly it is to be overly concerned about these things. I think it is great that he chooses first to be himself, but if pushed, to acknowledge all of his ancestry instead of allowing other people to apply a category to him based on their assumptions.

Bahaha this totally made me laugh!

To answer the OP, I pick and choose. Sometimes I'm white, sometimes I'm Asian, sometimes I'm a specific type of Asian :P

For example, when someone asks me to do maths I say "Don't ask me, I'm not Asian!"
Or if I accidentally spell something wrong or stumble over my own tongue I say "I'm Asian, I'm allowed to have crap English sometimes!"

My favorite is "You're from Hong Kong!?! SPEAK JAPANESE!!!" and others along those lines :)

but yeah, main point is I get to pick and choose depending on the situation :P
