A spoiler, but worth it. This is the kiss that was on the web from a later episode.
I saw the first episode in the US and enjoyed it for what it was, some not too heavy duty playing around.
The bitchy NY Times review is at the same time too serious for the material and way too unsophisticated.
The Lou Dobbs on immigration reference may tell us something about Lou Dobbs. But it's irrelevant to this show, unless it supposed to raise questions about feeling sympathy for non-human space beings trying to destroy the world.
And who's to say Jack Harkness can't be both bumbling and self-assured?
To me, both he and the show look interesting enough to see what happens next.
