Jeff, I have seen that kindness of your character in your posts on other threads. Thank you.

>>>Wow. You pretty much described what I'm going through at the moment. Good to hear things are working out though.

Well, they have for the last eleven years. :)

Thanks guys - hanging in there is the key. Years 7-9 were a bitch for us....but the past year or so has been really good. We still have our spats, but I know now that when we do, it's not over, it's just getting through issue, and then we will be back as we were - and make up sex is fun too (not always lovey-dovy either, some are still getting their licks in)!

For us it was lust at first sight. We met in a bar and had a week together before he had to go back to the military in another city. We then had a long distance relationship for 3 months seeing each other at weekends before he resigned and moved to live with me. I would think that we fell out of lust and in love after about 3 years.

We have been together for 24 years and are still in love. If you ask me now what the most important mutual attribute is, i would say RESPECT for each other, and from that comes TRUST and HONESTY. I also put his wishes first in all our dealings. There is also discussed and resolved compromise when we have differences of opinion.

I works because i still think he is the best boyfriend in the whole wide world, and he thinks the same and we live together and work together 24/7. Yeah he's just the best.

I have nothing else to say!!..|
