Lady Gaga catapults onto our list, ranking ahead of much more established pop stars like Madonna (No. 10) and U2 (No. 7). She has a 106-date world tour and her willingness to partner with corporations like Virgin Mobile and Polaroid to thank for an estimated $62 million in earnings. What's more, her fame and theatricality have brought her gobs of press coverage, while her music videos have made her something of an Internet sensation. Proof: The fashion-forward rocker ranks first for social media and Web presence among the Forbes Celebrity 100.

Gaga is also the list's top-ranked newcomer, leading a group that includes the Black Eyed Peas ($48 million), O'Brien ($38 million), and "Twilight" co-stars Pattinson and Stewart. Pattinson comes in at No. 50 with estimated earnings of $17 million, while Stewart, who is working on fewer non-"Twilight" projects, comes in at No. 66 with a $12 million haul.

oh yeah and she also writes her own songs and plays instruments.^ and gaga's written some of britney's songs if I'm not mistaken lol.

She has her tour, Candies spokesperson, on March 22, 2009, it was announced that Spears has the #1 selling celebrity fragrance, making up 34% of sales, her Elizabeth Arden fragrence had almost if not more than $100 million is sales in 2004, so lord only knows what it is now.

I like Britney but I wouldn't pay to see her lip sych her songs throughout the concert. I like the real thing.

And Gaga is gay friendly. Not saying Britney isn't but Gaga is the most gay friendly singer we have ever had since ...maybe Madonna.

Putting gay men in a video does not make you some Gay Icon. Especially since the real reason she probably did it was just to create some headlines. Gaga has actually spoken out for Gay Rights and spoken at rallies. Christina just uses it as a attention grabber with the whole "Oh I'm actually bisexual, sorry I forgot to mention that in the last ten years of my career. I just wanted to bring it up now because that is the cool thing" act.

Sorry I am not a big fan of hers because she seems like a stuck up self absorbed bitch. But I totally respect it if you are a fan. I just have strong feeling about her.

I'm not really a big fan of hers, I like her music but I am BEYOND sick of seeing people worship the ground Gaga walks on. I like Gaga and I like her music but her fans are really making me start to hate her. And Christina has spoken out in support of gay rights on more than one occasion, she just doesn't make a spectacle of it like Gaga does.
