I also think men create their own oppression. They (str8 or gay) seem to be in real bad erotic need of really masculine guys to worship and venerate and will not tolerate anything not in keeping with their extreme male erotic needs. Their male erotic needs are so overwhelming they become totally homophobic when they see the in their mine slightest non masculine trait in a guy. In some guys it is rather striking.
