I LOVE listening to Brazilian Portuguese...
Eww... Portuguese (both from Brazil and Portugal) is sooo fucking ugly! I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it. Like someone said: it sounds like someone speaking Spanish with a speech impediment. It's just... weird. I watched From Beginning to End in mute, because I couldn't stomach that ugly language.
I prefer Spanish

I LOVE listening to Brazilian Portuguese...
my ex is Brazilian and I started learning Portuguese until we broke up. Now every time I hear someone speaking it I start to cry. Just brings back some memories that break my heart to think about. A coworker is married to a Brazilian and I've asked her to let me know if she is going to be speaking with her husband on the phone so I can leave the room. I had been really excited to learn a new language. Now just the thought of it makes me sad and depressed. Maybe with more time it will get better.
