Foreskin question: removing smegma...

Proper penile hygiene is important. Clean it when you're in the shower, or even in the sink before you go to bed.

Plain ol' water should be fine.

i didn't know my dick was different untill about 8th grade when me and my friend were talking about it....

i couldn't pull the skin back back then... so washing under the skin never happened and i dont' seem to have any problems now from it.. though i'd never let it get gross like that now

Did the smegma (or cleaning of it) from my childhood destroy the mucus under-foreskin stuff?
Hi,
I would think that the head of your penis is dryer than most uncut guys due simply to the fact that your foreskin is on the short side as is does not even cover the head when soft. I really doubt that it has to do with anything else.

...it's scary to think about other guys with foreskin growing up who need the advice....

By the time when you learn to take a shower by yourself you must be instructed who to wash properly EVERY part of your body, the lack of information is due to shame of parents when discussing something related with sex (although they don't realize that at that age probably you don't have a clue of what is sex, even if someone explains it to you) and the not-so-familiar situation of uncut-boys again after about 5 decades of male circumcision as routine practice at birth in the US.

The dry skin is because your foreskin don't covers the totally of the glans mostly than smegma, but there's nothing wrong with it.

Smegma is harmles, that's right, is similar to sweat or the cerum in the ears, just another body-substance, and like sweat and cerum accumulation of it in specific conditions and a bad hygiene can lead to infections, but that's because bacteria, not smegma itself.

smegma is not harmless; studies have shown that it can be carcinogenic

i never pulled it back till grade 6...when i first started to learn what jacking was...there was so much..build up the first time

but its fine now
