I am planning on going to Fort Lauderdale for a week sometime in June. I'd like to stay at a gay resort but I'd like some feedback if anyone has stayed at one there. Is there one that's way better then the rest? Younger versus older crowd? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

We go every year in June. We like the Cabanas in Wilton Manor which is closer to the bars ans restaurants in WM. As for places near the beach, we've stayed at several there but like The Grand best, they both have mixed crowds and are loads of fun. They are clothing optional so keep that in mind.

Are these threads like the penis size threads we used to have back in the day? They keep popping up from time to time.....

Sorry, I didn't see the other post! Anyway, I will have a car and looking to keep price under $150 a night. I was looking at the Royal Palms resort mainly because it has a bar and grill on site with some entertainment. I'm not looking for an all out bathhouse just a nice place to relax for a week.

Since summer rates apply at most resorts you shouldn't have a problem finding a place within your budget. Don't forget the 12% resort tax too.

Since you have a car you'll have no problem staying at the beach. The Royal Palms would also be my first choice followed by The Grand.

An entire week is a long time to spend in Fort Lauderdale, specially in the heat of summer. There really isn't much to do. Guess it's fine if the beach/pool is what you're looking for.

Have you considered spending a night or two in Miami Beach and/or Key West?

I grew up in Florida so the summer heat doesn't really bother me. I did think about going to Key West but that's quite a drive down there. I'm sure the prices are a little higher there too. I'm still in the plannning stages right now. I gotta make sure I can afford to go first!
