FOX News and hate speech

This morning on Fox, they spent a lot of air time with Tim Pawlenty as he was bad mouthing the President. They spend an awful lot of time bad mouthing the President.

Fox is similar to the WWII Tokyo Rose broadcasts bad mouthing America. Or the North Korea propaganda bad mouthing the President. It's pretty disgusting.

Or MSNBC during the Bush years.

Really, does anyone really believe that Fox is balanced? They have a slant to the right. So why would they support the President on his policies just because he's the president? That makes no sense.

^That. MSNBC was awful while Bush was in office. Just as bad as Fox is now. Its a pendulum, really.

The current issue of Rolling Stone Magazine has an article by Tim Dickinson titled: "Inside the Fox News Fear Factory". It might be an interesting read. This blurb caught my attention:

"A recent academic study found that the ignorance of Fox viewers increases the longer they watch the network."

It was a University of Maryland study.

Issue 1132 - June 9, 2011 probably on sale now.

Also a wild week with Lady Gaga; the return of "The Cars"; and American Idol vs. The Voice, TV's biggest battle.

How can you say this? What proof so you have?

Every time a Republican is told to explain his actions about a statement or action, they take that as being picked on and the interviewer is using a negative bias. Republicans have the "if you're not for me you're against me" mindset.

They don't get that on Fox. The interviewer on Fox agrees with them, praises the Republican politician, uses terms like "brave, courageous" to describe them. They're all on the Fox payroll anyway. That's why they only give these "hard hitting interviews" in the safe arms of Fox. That's why they call anything that isn't Fox the "lamestream" media because they have to justify their actions elsewhere.

It's not a pendulum.

You really need to WATCH before u comment

U say on a Fox News report they referred to Obama as the "anointed one" - show me - I say no way

That sounds like Sean Hannity on his high rated but low brow hour of republican fund raising

As for msnbc they are the equal or worse - here u go - u decide

Fox
7p sheperd smith - no bias
8p O'Reilly - often has on libs to debate
9p Hannity - Repub thru and thru
10p Greta - as partisans go shes light

Msnbc
7 hardball - Chris frothing at Bachman +
8 odonnell - pompous Keith wannabe
9 Rachel - intelligent yes - partisan def
10 Ed schultz - see slut

Msnbc is clearly more partisan

No apologies necessary CB - just stop posting silly stuff is all I ask

*Says the one who insists in posting in bad poetry.

The only reason you think MSNBC is biased is because you don't like what they say.

O'Reilly, Smith and Hannity not biased!!? OMFG..... :rotflmao: Good lord, what planet do you live on?

Fox
7p sheperd smith - bashes dems and does what Ailes tells him to say
8p O'Reilly - screams shaddap at everyone he disagrees with, pompous know it all
9p Hannity - snarling little coward who lies
10p Greta - token former liberal so Fox can say "look, we're fair and balanced"

Apology needed from you but of course you won't give one. Even if you did no one will understand you. [Text: Removed by Moderator]

Sounds to me like FOX - the gold standard for objective journalism - is up for a Peabody Award.
Looks like Paula Zahn and Major Garrett are going to miss out on all the fun! :(

It's not a pendulum.

It most certainly is a pendulum. MSNBC is nowhere near as virulently anti-president as they were when Bush was in office.

I could keep adding them, but I'm not going to. The fact is that MSNBC is nowhere near where they were while Bush was in office. (unless you're talking about how they treat anyone that isn't a liberal)

Good grief, MSNBC has a clear bias. That's not even up for debate, it's fact.

I didn't say it wasn't biased. Chance's statement is it's MSNBC is clearly more partisan than Fox. It's not.

Nope, MSNBC isn't as anti-president now because they were holding Bush to task on his bankrupt and corrupt polities, something Fox would never have done. If Obama fucks up as bad as his predecessor (which he won't; he's still cleaning up the shit pile Bush dumped us in) they'll get on him. In fact they're holding Obama accountable and questioning him about his campaign promises that haven't been kept. Is that something Fox did during the Bush administration? No way. They sugar coated his fuckups and blamed the Democrats on everything that went wrong. Bush / Cheney and company could do no wrong in their eyes.

I'll watch only if you post in real sentences.

Not gonna take advice from someone who pontificates about the bias of programs he doesn't watch

LAME

Who said I didn't watch? Just how often is your television tuned into MSNBC and the people you mentioned?

Something tells me you don't take advice very often but love to dish it out in the forum of scolding.

LAMER

....just saying

I watch MSNBC - I like cable news

Chris Matthews has morphed from a blue dog dem to Obama apologist and attack dog - remember the tingle down his leg?

I like Rachel - more often than not - have u seen her new "lean forward" ad - shes in a diner with pepper and salt doing a Pakistan Afghanistan India thing - pretty good

O'donnell talks to the camera like it's the mofo gettysburg address - every night

Schultz I admire for his passion but he's too crazy for his own good

And youre not lame for not watching but posting as if u do

I prob watch msnbc more than fox btw - by a lot actually
