Fox News has NEVER said Americans will go to jail for not buying healthcare

Fox "news" is nothing but a long string of lies. It's why I don't believe a thing that conservatives say.

You see those videos of the tea baggers just parroting out lies... hey, you see all the conservatards HERE insisting that there's jail time for people who don't buy health insurance.

Meh... lies are all some people have.

It always seems like Fox news wins arguments by yelling at the other person and not giving them a chance to say anything. They simply "win debates" by not giving the opponent a chance to refute.

Honestly, are people seeing this stuff? Despite everything, Fox still has a huge following, and it seems like this BS is not being communicated to them.

Well, that was a confusing vid. Do all those people really work for FOX?

Didn't think so.

Responsible reporting would have tossed out all the clips of other people talking, and just put on three irrefutable bits where actual FOX people are actually saying people will go to jail for not getting health insurance -- not asking if it's true, not joking about it, but saying it.

I'm not going to watch that mess again, but it seems there was enough in there to do that.

I just wanted to comment about how I tuned in one time to Hannity and he was having a "discussion" with three other people. Out of the three, two of them were men who agreed with Hannity, and the last person was a woman, seemingly younger than the men, who had the opposing viewpoint.

Now I'm not saying that a woman can't stand up to a man during a debate because that's not true at all, but I think it was fairly obvious what was going on there considering they barely let her get a word in edgewise. She didn't stand a chance.

Is it just me, or does Sean Hannity look and sound a bit like Nathan Lane?

O'Reilly's exact words:

O'Reilly: Can you tell me one person on Fox News, just one, who has told this audience that they'll go to jail if they don't buy health insurance. You don't know anybody on Fox News 'cause there hasn't been anyone that said people will go to jail if they don't buy mandatory insurance.

Tom Coburn: I will tell you, I've heard that in certain Fox programs...

O'Reilly: Well tell me, tell me, because it doesn't happen here, and we researched to find out if anybody on Fox News had ever said you're going to jail if you don't buy health insurance. Nobody's ever said it, so it seems to me, what you did was, you used Fox News as a whipping boy when we didn't qualify there.

O'Reilly made no specification about "employees of Fox News". He was either talking out of his arse or blatantly lying. I don't see that the message is lessened at all by commentary from Fox's so called "contributors". After all, as a news network, if they call in a commentator to a show and that commentator states something that is false, isn't it the news network's role to call attention to that?

In the end, O'Reilly has indeed discussed the very topic himself, and shows himself to be a blatant liar - as if we didn't know that already.

Unfortunately, corporate owned media doesn't see "news" as "news" anymore...

They consider it a packaged product designed to appeal to their audience...

It happens on BOTH sides -- and is PATHETIC...

I TRY and listen to both for equal amounts each day -- and suspect that the truth is somewhere in the middle...

Although -- I'm not totally sure about that either...

ANOTHER symptom of MASSIVE DEREGULATION...

:(:(:(

does Murdoch has any control over those loud mouths liars.

If yes, Murdoch is as guilty and anyone at fox.

wow - i always thought hannity was fred flintstone's face on barney rubble's body

but this is a good one

saw the oreilly/coburn convo and figured it was a lie since coburn did not offer up names

guessing oreilly will fire his "researcher"

can u go to jail for not buying HC? what happens if u don't buy HC?

anyone know?

Glen Beck, Greta Van Sustern, Sean Hannity, Bill Hemmer? Yes. They do.

No amount of you pretending otherwise changes that.

You can "yeah but" all you want... Fox "news" is just a long string of lies separated by commercials.

You really ought to answer the question that was asked. :help:

If all those people in the vid were just the ones you named, then FOX has an incredible make-up department!!!

Proof that FOX NEWS can SPIN ANYTHING!

(Well except a really great White Party! :p <tongue in cheek>)

Why aren't their any "conservative comedians?"

I'm sure that there are!

It's just that they're only funny to people who work for Fox News.

O'Reilly is dead on about Stewart - as is Bernie Goldberg

as for funny conservatives .................. it's not their nature :)

I got that. I really did. :D

My theory is, unlike what Stewart and his writing team demonstrate, conservative comedians are incapable of self deprecation.

= Not funny except to other conservatives. ;)

Some are, but they're still only funny to other conservatives.

For example, there are lots of redneck comedians great at self-deprecation, but outsiders rarely even see it as that because they're so far away from the worldview involved.

Off the top of my head --

"You might be a redneck if you go to family reunions to pick up chicks."

then a few jokes later...

"Did I mention I spend lots of time at family reunions?"

As opposed to "conservatives."

"You might be a liberal if you bought a box of wine at Walmart because the box read
I can't believe it's not Vinegar."

With a follow up, "Liberals don't shop at Walmart."

Funny to conservatives, but dumb ass humor to the rest of us.

Larry "The Cable Guy" is a conservative, but he plays to what's stupid in all of us. ..|

He deprecates himself, AND his audience!

Stewart deprecates those who are in perceived power.

Notice the difference?

What's a Southern virgin? A girl that can run faster than her brothers.

Ok.. so... Bill O'Fucknut says "nobody on Fox News said..."

And then we have a long video of people on Fox News saying.....

And your defense is that... not ALL the people in the video were on salary?

Ok. Good luck with that.#-o
