The only way to properly address this problem is by admitting some politically incorrect things, and using police to use effective tactics like "stop and frisk" and getting the criminals out of these communities. pretending racism away only serves white supremacy, as does obfuscating every time somebody points out some racist shit-- which happens a lot when discussing crime or violence in a city with a large black population. people right away start digging into single black moms and absentee black dads [their supposed love for handouts usually finds its way into the discourse somehow] and the inherent criminality of black culture and people vs white violence/crime, say for example 80-some odd percent of serial killers being white men, despite this volume nobody ever asks what white moms are doing wrong that their sons are serial killing or mass murdering in schools/movies/theaters/churches/the workplace, sky-high numbers but nobody talks about "violent white culture" or the dangers of white men with guns, in fact there are many white domestic terrorists throughout American history that we exalt in song and with national holidays, monuments, street/school names, cutesy songs, museums, et cetera. the tone of conversation around white violence vs black violence is so vastly different, it practically lends itself to bias, an open invitation for racists to get their rocks as they fire off their Fox News-approved talking points about everything wrong with black America.
