Which is why they always have the highest cable news ratings...

^ Yeah... That damn O'Reilly has more viewers than the last dem debate had

The "F" Word Network still routinely blames anything that goes wrong on Bill Clinton even after he's been gone for seven years. They still routinely bring up Bill Clinton when another Republican gets caught in something. How many times have you heard it (even here)? - A Republican gets caught with their pants down: - "OH but but but... Bill Clinton"! So if Hillary is elected I fully expect on Fox everything will be her husbands fault especially after the eight years of glorious paradise we've had under Herr Bush.

It seems all Fox News ever talks about is Hilary Clinton. If you're gonna have 5 years of Fox lip to Clinton butt licking I think it will be so horrible. Better they stay republican apologist than fake Hilary sycophant.

what i was saying is that they have a consistent view of presenting both sides of the story, with a more conservative slant than other networks. clinton, bush, or other, they will continue to dominate.

Where did you get that information? I'm sitting here looking at a Nielsen rating book and the metered overnight ratings for the past 3 days. Part of my job is ratings analysis. I see no evidence of that except with O'Reilly and he has his same consistent audience. Other than that, FOX is all over the place. Up and down. Cable News is not consistent because people don't sit on cable news channels all day. They get what they want and click on to other things. Actually Hannity & Colmes have seen better days. No surprise. The show is getting so totally ridiculous.

Apart from the ratings, I think when Hillary is President, Fox will still cling to a neocon view of things (dictated by King Rupert, the rightwing media God) but they have clearly softened some of the attacking lately. Not their usual "bash and smear"...except for that little hardcore group that sits with Brit Hume. Fred Barnes and Krauthammer are hardcore neocons. The other ones almost seem in distress every night, like they are afraid to say anything positive about Dems for fear of being ripped apart by Barnes. It's almost comical.

Heh, as if that means anything. http://www.journalism.org/node/507

Exactly what I was talking about. Good article even though the numbers are now old. No advertiser buys ratings alone. "Cume" is very important. Fox's higher ratings are mostly because of distribution, as the article points out. So much of what ANY network tells viewers about its "ratings" is mostly a lot of "marketing hype". If you have a 3 rating instead of a 2 rating, you can say you had a 50% increase in ratings over the competition. Fact is, it still means 97% of the total universe of viewers are NOT watching you. That's where the "hype" comes into play.

Put ANY cable news network against the Big 3 and none of their "ratings" are great because they simply don't have the audiences of the 3 major networks. (CBS, NBC, ABC) Yes, they are growing but still fractional.

And what does it supposed to mean that more people are watching? What things are included in this "a lot of other things"?

Oh i don't know...It speaks to more people. More people like it. More people think fox news is a better alternative to CNN.

When Hillary is president will Fox news be beating the pro-administration drum like they do now? Will it be considered treason to question the president's actions? If you say anything negative about President Clinton will you be considered anti-American?

I actually think Fox News is praying for a Clinton White House...it's been exhausting defending and looking foolish for the current president

Fox will continue to be what they r now - the antidote to the exclusively democratic/liberal media outlets that they compete with - all of the BC nets + CNN + MSNBC

my guess is their ratings will go up - as their constituency will be riled up on a more regular basis - with tax increases, costly health care initiatives and irresponsible social changes being the norm

as for negative about the President - Bill O'Reilly says smack about George W ALL THE TIME - u should try actually watching a network that u discredit Mattie - might be a good start

Fox News will spend all its time being"fair and balanced."

Fox news adequately serves those who fear finding a liberal agenda behind every tree and a queer under every rock.

Murdoch has succeeded by dumbing things down and sensationalizing things up and that should continue to work for a certain demographic.

What is the FOX demographic? My impression is that their numbers are pushed by all the folks in the old peoples homes staring at the screen all day and the folks driving around in their pick-up trucks looking for fresh road kill.

FOX knows that Hillary will remain in Iraq and will go to War with Iran. Murdoch would prefer Giuliani, but at least he knows if Giuliani doesn't get elected, Hillary will still take care of his Israeli Special Interests, which is sad.

I really wish the Democrats would nominate an Anti War candidate. You're making Rupert happy either way. You just don't realize it. That's why only the GOP are mentioned on his network, with the exception of Ron Paul, and why he only seems to mention Hillary. He wants you to think these are your only choices.

^ No, Rupert just wants you to think that he supports Hillary so that we will all vote for Ron Paul.

Hey, you can vote for anyone you want. I'm just asking you to vote for someone we know is an Anti War candidate and has a voting record in Congress to prove it. Vote Dennis Kucinich for all I care.

Fox News under Hillary?

perhaps she will try to shut it down
